NO WAY WE SHOULD HAVE WON

concerted, group bias is a conspiracy by definition. You epitomize what it means to be a homer. There is no anti-RU bias, conspiracy or whatever word your slanted pseudoanalysis yields.

Punk act disgrace by Simpson which should embarrass him, Pike, the team and the fans, even the hopeless homers. There’s a big difference between what he did and what others usually get away with.

Then after the T he was laughing it up still proud of himself. Almost rooted for UM after that, preferring he learn a lesson to a win but changed my mind because I realized he’s probably incapable of learning it anyway.
oh please

bias = prejudice
conspiracy = a plan

COMPLETELY different things

I guess you are one of those people who think the refs stealing an NCAA bid from us was also no big deal. It just happens! we'll get ours someday!

Maybe someone should write down some actual rules about what conduct constitutes a T and then attempt to enforce them consistently. Currently it just seems like in ~10% of the games some idiot ref decides "today is sportsmanship day"

You never call that T to influence the game at that point in the game especially where it was not directed at any Maryland player or team.

Good ref warns player or coach.

Ref, who had a poor game, should never insert self in outcome. Was almost as poor as OSU.

When it happens again and again and again it is bias.

Thanks for the third grade interpretation. If the prejudice manifests, it’s a plan.

You sir, are a moron

Yes...unconscious bias.

It's a thing.

Refs are not cyborgs. They're human. And they are biased. Rutgers has been the butt of all athletic jokes and bottom of the barrell in practically all sports for decades and we're expected to believe that doesn't impact referees?

Give me a break.

Yes, I am. TY. Try as you might to prove the same, you fail. There’s no backtracking. You think refs are biased against Rutgers. LOL. Do you believe the earth is round ? I think they cover that in third grade science so you should at least know that.

sorry Mr. Einstein. I'm not backtracking on anything

B1G refs are biased against Rutgers because we have a history of athletic futility and we get the sh*t end of the stick (far) more often then we get the benefit of the doubt. Go ahead. Pull some calculus out of your mightily intelligent arse now and prove me wrong.

home teams get calls. It is what it is. We benefit at JMA.

Shelby65 simultaneously believes

(1) Any manifested ref bias must be planned
(2) Home teams get calls

So Shelby65 believes in.. a conspiracy against away teams?

Idiot or troll, you decide.

Easy. Look up home and away fouls for and against and also home record

you really proved your point! How could I have ever questioned your intellectual capacity! you're really winning me over here.

can you explain quantum physics next? Its still a little fuzzy for me

Worst I've seen this year against us. Just terrible, but no call was worse than that BS T on Simpson. Yeah, he shouldn't be doing that, but it's pretty common, especially after really huge plays like he had just made and he wasn't taunting the other team, which will usually get a T, but the fans, which everyone does. That's a ref inserting himself into the game, which is NOT what they're supposed to do. That non-traveling call and then foul call on Hyatt was also really bad. Was 19-10 in fouls before they started fouling at the end.

To be honest, I was happy to see that kind of confidence and swagger out of him as we have been lacking all year. But yeah, I’d probably feel different if we hadn’t won.

Posted this on another thread.

Rule 10-5 contains a partial list of illegal unsportsmanlike acts, such as disrespectfully addressing or contacting an official, using profanity, taunting, inciting undesirable crowd reactions, flagrantly contacting an opponent while the ball is dead and fighting or leaving the playing court during a fight.

Tominaga doing the shhh isn't the same as simpson screaming shut the F up at the crowd and right in Young's face, giving the eat em up, then giving the shhhh

Me me me meeeeeeee when you're 2-9. Just play ball or pick one taunt and end it there. It's just unnecessary and dumb

I thought bolded was more along the lines of when Hurley was inciting the crowd to boo the refs and stuff.

Taken too broadly the road team could get T’d up for every made basket lol

We were absolutely mauled the entire game. Was absolutely crazy. White haired ref must have lost a bet on us or something in the past.

Also the mid court ref calling cliffs fifth after we already rebounded the rock was bad (I did think it was a foul, but not by this games standardt

I'll give you 11, dude, if you keep posting about this crap. Ref-bitching threads are horrible, even worse after a win.
Posting so many times in a thread complaining about the existence of that thread is horrible.

So if there are a lot of lopsided whistles in a game, fans of the team with the disadvantage are only allowed to complain if it didn't cause you to lose.

We disagree.

Every fanbase in America feels targeted by the refs.
So what? I rarely if ever complain about refs,
that goes for football as well.
Upon extremely rare occasion I point out egregious officiating… why? Because it’s a Rutgers fan sports message board!
In fact the last time I said anything about officiating was at Maryland several years ago after calling us for multiple illegal screens.
I played a sport at the highest level along with a few more members of my family, was taught never to complain about refs unless they were egregious, like last night

It's just boring and everyone does it. And upon further review, it's never as lopsided as fans think it may be.
