Harper should have been in the hospital

Nike has invested millions in his future - does anyone with a brain think he doesn’t have the best medical advice.
im sure he does and it would also make sense everything is kept quiet for that reason

doesnt mean we cannot bring it up just like everything else we do

when I asked how much players are making, the usual response is its none of your business

You think he didn’t get treated? What is going on around here? People are losing their minds.
There’s no doubt the team doctors and trainers have done and are doing everything humanly and professional possible for Dylan.
Every event he attended and every place he went was ok’d by the medical staff.
He’s received bed rest, intravenous hydration anti nausea medication…everything in the book.

Yes i know Norovirus is nicknamed the vomiting disease, and other viruses come out the other end and kick your ass.

I’m still shocked a strong, young 18 year old stud hasn’t recovered quicker, that’s just my opinion.
World class athletes aren’t normal people and their ability to recharge and recover is in a different league from the norm….

Covid.. lock yourself up for 10 days. Norovirus..hey go out and have fun. Just doesn't make sense but what the hell do I know ( responses should be fun)

The topic is being discussed - stop complaining.

Strains going around are bad this year. People are getting slammed with viruses and flu for multiple weeks - all ages. Two people in my office - one in her 20s and one in his 40s laid out this week. Should add that I had two family members slammed with it too.

Nothing compares to Schiano's asinine decisions:
* icing the kicker
*opting to go first in OT @ Illinois in 2005 after winning the coin toss.
*declining a late 4th and 1 fourth quarter penalty against USF, which then converted on the next play and went on to win the game on that drive.

Schiano's decisions are the worst in the history of sports. The only other which compares is Cristobal handing off to an RB to reach 100 yards against GT in 2023 instead of victory formation to win the game. RB fumbles, GT recovers and throws a long TD pass with 1 second left to win.

Figures only a prior Schiano assistant would be just as stupid.
Just can't help yourself, obsessed much? Seek help Rainman.

My point is that it can penetrate anyone. Is he supposed to be impenetrable and indestructible? He may actually be more at risk as he is exposed to so many people, the travel, etc.
Of course he’s not impenetrable.
I think he’s healthy/strong/elite and on a different recovery timetable than the average Joe.

I’m sure he’s not the only tracked professional athlete in the country to get hit by this virus.
I haven’t seen anyone hit this hard

Covid is a respiratory virus, spread by droplets you exhale. Norovirus is a GI virus.
How does it get there? Wouldn't isolation and restrictions if any potential sharing if germs be in order?
When we get them my wife puts every spoon I lick in the dishwasher and anything potentially near my mouth in the garbage..and we live in different rooms for a few days.
Appreciate the technical education (ooops to be clear I mean that) but it still begs some precautions, no?
And again.. as you posted we don't know what or have a right to know what so who knows what he's got.. my wife's been coughing up a lung for 3 weeks.. doctors have no clue.
Told her she's just developed an long overdue allergy to me. Husbanitis.

Well, now you have. Not sure what your point or argument is on this. The guy got sick bad and he tried to fight through it, it didn’t work out. But you can’t be completely dismissive of a severe flu and cold strain that is going around.

Are players across the country missing a game, then playing like a shell of themselves for two more games because of a flu over a two week span?
Or is this unprecedented?
If what he’s suffering from is going around, I’d say there’d be more players being affected…no?

Okay, flu and infectious diseases tend to be regional and they don’t impact individuals the same way. They are not going to impact athletes or teams in a blanket fashion. Again, what are you trying to say about Dylan’s illness? Are you saying it was fake, mismanaged, what? Really strange…

He’s being impacted more severely and longer by flu than any high level athlete I’ve ever seen…. Period end of observation.

Nothing in that statement says anything about him being mishandled, faking or a conspiracy..

It is what it is. Let’s see if he’s a shell of himself or a dominant player again against UCLA

Because it’s not the flu ? I said before, mono fits this better. Whatever he has, I don’t believe much that coaches say.

I have and still can’t figure out what folks are contending. Sorry, will never be a conspiracy guy and this thread has the scent of it. Just some strange crap posted on these boards.

Fair enough, but this has not been that long in terms of flu based on my observations working in and around health care for a long time. Let’s shake this crap off and get a win Monday. We all need it.
