Schiano & CO have introduced a new offense to the list of schemes utilized by P5 schools these days. It’s called the No Threat Offense , NTO for short, which basically relies on confusing opposing defenses with lining up no offensive threats across from them. With nobody in particular to key on the hope is that one of the offensive players will do something that nobody is prepared for.
Iowa , Miami and Boston College have also bought into this new form of offense with about as much success as the Schiano version. Former OC Sean Gleeson will be running summer camps in the off season for high school coaches interested in learning the intricacies of the system.
