Yes, but its is not as simply as that, some of it has to do with the parents in this state who think that RU is beneath their kid.

Wanted to see us in the Tourney, and understand that the AQ's screw it up, however if we had taken care of business we would have been in. After our No1 ranking we went into a funk & for the most part did not play up to our capabilities. We lost 4 of 6 down the stretch. Delaware, Hopkins & PSU were terrible efforts. We beat a poor Michigan team, played better against Maryland, had the game in our sticks multiple times at the end of regulation & in the OT's & couldn't close out. We finally got our mo-jo back & played to our abilities with a fine win over OSU. Too little to late. In the final analysis we have ourselves to blame. I believe the team will learn from this & with our returners & new additions will take care of business next year & leave nothing to chance.

Fam- who were the instate kids you mentioned when I saw you at OSU? Would like to look at their film.

Fam and gef would know more than me where we stand with the in state kids, but it seems like every year we are picking up more and more talented players out of NJ, and elsewhere.

Some really intriguing kids coming to The Banks the next few classes.

Much of it has to do with Finances.

There aren't many if any full rides in Lacrosse and RU now has a good program where giving a kid his tuition is a great deal.

A ton cheaper than out of state alternatives

The Delaware loss, a trap game at the time ... Was the loss attributable in any way (strategy, knowledge of player tendencies, familiarity with staff and roster) to a former Rutgers assistant coach, Byron Collins, being on the Delaware staff? Rutgers struggled the whole game.

I don't think so. Was there. We just played like cr#p all over the field.

Goal keeping wasn't that bad. The D in front of him was probably worse. Dudes were dunking shots all game and getting their hands free from 10 yards out. A few were saveable but you don't put that on the goalie, especially when that goalie is the one we have. Kid is second team all B1G, which makes him one of the best goalies in the country.
