One other thing about last night...

As a Rutgers alum, I hate it - classless, embarrassing and makes the students looks stupid and unimaginative. Plus there are a lot of families with young kids at the games (not to mention the whole Pop Warner team and parents seated there) - just not necessary.
Makes us seem like white trash. Also feeds into the whole "Joisey" stereotype. Come up with something imaginative. For example, the "Get Your Own State" chant when Seton Hall comes to The RAC.

If you don't like the chants fine, I get it. But give me a breaaaaak with these over the top posts about how horrible it is lol. You sound soooo pathetic.

I like the "Joe Pa knew" chants. Lets make that "a thing"

looked on reddit for best fan chants. saw this one which was hilarious.
when the game is sealed.....

fans chant "if your'e winning and you know it, clap your hands,........"
everyone in the arena claps hands
then "if you're losing and you know it, clap your hands.."
opposing fans., total silence.
I was embarassed reading this

Nothing "pansy" about it. We want to create an atmosphere that encourages fans to come out to the games, including families with young kids - an atmosphere that is intimidating, loud, but also shows Rutgers University in a positive light. I doubt the coaches of either basketball team or the football team would condone this type of fan behavior.

Well shoot, does anyone jiggle keys anymore and yell “warm up the bus!”?

Now, if you want to know what classless is was when the Ladies would play Penn State and there was this one heavy set girl we, in the band, Moo at...[and get the rest of the students going)...and then one year this trumpet player named Sergio brought in a bunch of surgical gloves and most of the band blew them up and started Moo’ing at her...she started crying but we were douche enough to keep it going....ah to be 19 again....

Now that's just awful.

I've got no problem with the F Penn State chant and I brought my four year old son to the game. If he ever asks me what they're saying, I'll make something up. No big deal.
