Probably know who they will hire promote. Probably on staff already
Umm, never--what a joke:

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

I. Seasonal Influenza

A. Under this Policy, a Seasonal Influenza vaccine is mandatory for all Covered Individuals unless such Covered Individual is an Exempted Individual. Each year, Covered Individuals must provide proof of Seasonal Influenza vaccination prior to the start date of Flu Season or submit any exemption request(s) by November 1 of the current Flu Season. Proof of influenza vaccination must be uploaded to https://rtr.ipo.rutgers.edu/influenza_upload or as the University otherwise directs.

B. A Covered Individual who has received the Seasonal Influenza vaccination at a non-Rutgers facility, pharmacy, or physician’s office must provide proof of immunization by uploading appropriate documentation to https://rtr.ipo.rutgers.edu/influenza_upload or as the University otherwise directs.

C. Following the effective date of this Policy, any new Covered Individual, prior to commencement of their relationship with Rutgers or upon becoming a Covered Individual, will be required to provide proof of Seasonal Influenza vaccination for the current year/season, receive a Seasonal Influenza vaccine, or furnish any exemption request(s), if the relationship begins during Flu Season or a person becomes a Covered Individual during Flu Season. Failure to do so will result in rescission of the Covered Individual’s conditional offer of employment. If the relationship begins before Flu Season, then the Covered Individual will be required to abide by this Policy prior to the start date of Flu Season.

$100,000/year?

Is this a new position?
This role isn't already being covered by current staff?

Just a reminder that when people say "but the AD has no money. Colleges lose money on sports!!" - this is where the $100m in media revenue is going.

In many states "influenza" is illegal as a cause of death on certificates.
States that don't ban it don't use it "imply" anyway.
Pneumonia is the more likely cause listed.
Flu death stats are actually often from models - excess deaths tossed into "flu" bin.
Elders dead from pneumonia go into flu bin
Honest MDs will actually say they can rarely recall a death strictly from "flu."
They will say the realistic flu death stats are closer to 3500 a year and not the 30/40/70 often used to push the shots

" CDC thinks it is important to convey the full burden of influenza to the public. Thus, we do not agree that it is misleading to combine direct deaths associated with influenza with those likely associated with secondary pneumonia and estimates of those likely associated exacerbations of underlying chronic conditions by influenza into a single number. However, we have made editorial changes to our website to ensure that we consistently communicate that the 36,000 figure is a) an estimate, b) an average, and, c) that these are "influenza-associated" deaths."
