Nah ... Lou Holtz is a better fit, culturally.

Seriously, the Cheats need an experienced, proven but younger HC. But who they need and who they hire may be quite different....

Edit: See Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall....

Corrupt, conference killing, pretentious, bball centric school with smurf colors and fake classes - besides that, BB would do well there IMO

Never saw BB as the CFB type

Maybe 30 years ago. As said in the article, he will turn 73 next year. Can you really see him sweet talking 17-18 year olds and their parents during recruiting?

Wait, why not? A school committed to cheating. A coach who has no qualms about cheating to reach his goals. Hmmm…ding, ding, ding…we have a match! Seriously though, I don’t see it happening, but there have been worse matches.

If he was the DC, the DBs would finally learn to turn around.
If he was the DC, the entire team would learn a lot and we'd probably win more games. The guy's indisputably brilliant when it comes to football coaching.

I get that it ain't never happening. But a boy can dream.

He seems to have no trouble sweet talking young people, judging from his girlfriend.
I mean, him coming here would probably amp up the NIL fund significantly right?

So I suspect you're correct because (a) his "sweet-talk" with his young GF is likely the result of his wallet weight and (b) his "sweet-talk" with the young male FB recruits will likely be the result of that amped up NIL fund's weight. So it should work perfectly.

Make it so!

He wasn't brilliant without Brady.

This will be the biggest sideshow and failure in the last decade. There's no way he'll be able to keep up with NIL or recruiting.

Can’t vision him recruiting and visiting recruits in their homes. Could see him handing this off to son real quick.
Deion doesn’t do many, if any at all. The mountain comes to him lol. I’d expect it to be largely the same for BB.

Between NIL amd NFL that will probably a decent enough lure.

How they do though who knows but it’ll definitely be a big attention/ratings grabber next season just like Deion was at Colorado.

He won’t have to recruit for one second

He’s Bill Belichick , I want you here , yes or no ?….i have another 10 5 stars on hold !

He’s going to bring in a massive portal class

I’d expect him to use the portal more just like Deion did. It’s only a 3 year contract so he’ll want potential for quick results.

Publicity wise it’s a HR like Deion but performance wise time will tell.

Edit: it's actually a 5 year contract, initial reporting was wrong

Great, now I get to see UNC in primetime 10 times next year. UNC and Primetime Football are two words which should never be uttered together.
