Funny as hell. A scripted reality show of william shatner, Henry winkler (old coach from the water boy), George foreman, and terry Bradshaw.

They backpack through Asia without luxuries. Anyone else watch?

Shit, I missed it, but "old coach from the water boy"?? How about "The Fonz!!" Com'on Keith lol!
Nuts I'm 30 so happy days was before my time... but that is true, water boy is just a more recent image... At least I remember William shatner from rescue 911...
I used to hate when I saw the helicopter!

Seriously.

And even if you're too young to know the Fonz (is that even possible?), at least Barry Zuckerkorn from Arrested Development.

The coach from the Water Boy

George Foreman? You mean the guy that sells those grills? Isn't William Shatner the Priceline guy?

That was FANTASTIC!!! Looking forward to more; great combination of (real life) characters/personalities!! The part about having a Shatner "death pool," let's call it, almost had me in tears. I was laughing so hard!

If the show is as funny as some of responses in this thread...well I guess I will have to check it out.

Nice job, fellas.

If they had wanted women, Mary Tyler Moore (alive) and Lucille Ball (deceased) would have been reasonable choices, but I can't for the life of me remember what shows they were on.

No good deed ever goes unpunished in ScarletNation!
Hahaha this is true... Bunch of ball busters! Anyways back to the show.. It really was epic, can't wait to see the old coach and the Priceline guy in episode 2!
Too bad Carrol O'Connor from "Mad about You" passed away, he would have been great here.

If they wanted to go the musical route they could have gone for Paul McCartney, he was Great in Wings.

By the way how does a guy that invented a grill get onto this show?

I have a feeling they'll have a second season with a different cast... First episode had a pretty decent rating.

Shatner: (to the group) "I have a fear of dying. The older I get the clearer the coming death is".

Bradshaw (to camera): "He didn't know this but we had a side bet and we picked the country in which he might die in. It's terrible but I think he is going to die in Thailand".

It is a funny show, they have the perfect combination of old guys.

Also be careful what you eat in Japan. The secret ingredient for the potatoes was dirt. Foreman said "Well it isn't dirt cheap". lol

Damn the Demographics!
Question: I watched the first episode of Better Late Than Never and found it to be highly entertaining. I'm a Millennial yet found it refreshing to watch a show centered on the older generation. With as many baby boomers as there are and with a debt-ridden Millennial generation, do you think advertisers and networks will ever get the memo that the 18-49 demographic may not be the end-all-be-all that they continue to treat it as? - Teri

Matt Roush: Bless you. Next to the “why is music on TV so loud” question, this question about demographics is among the most frequently asked in my mailbag. But I don’t remember it ever being asked outside the affected age group. So maybe there is hope for all of us! This is not my area of expertise, but I do think that with the business changing so drastically, with more people than ever (and not just the Millennials) migrating to new services and platforms for watching TV of all sorts, the ad market will have to loosen up on the tyranny of only counting those of a certain younger age. Netflix, for example, doesn’t care how old you are as long as you subscribe. That’s why they can afford to keep a show like Longmire going (Season 5 arriving September 23, by the way).

FYI - Carrol O'Conner is most famous for playing Archie Bunker

Btw, the show had some funny parts but is predictably scripted in other parts and too filled with stupid attempts at humor (spoiler alert: they eat food that turns out to be an animals private parts ... Whoa, didn't see that coming! Hardy har har).
I'm 40-45 btw.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) my cable system doesn't get many American stations. But I can tell you about all the new road construction around Da Nang if you want!!!
