Thinking about taking the kids to either Lakewood or Somerset for a game as drive north back home.

Any opinions on whether Lakewood or Somerset is the better experience for kids? As a Yankees fan all things equal prefer Somerset but from google seems Lakewood might have more for kids (golf, boardwalk games) but interested in thoughts.

I have only been to Somerset. I do believe that Lakewood has more for the kids to do than Somerset. Lakewood has the Blue Claws Kids Club which you can upgrade to MVP status and Somerset has the Sluggers Kids Club.

Where do you live, @Raritan83 ?

The Yankee affiliated Hudson Valley Renegades are in the same league as the Jersey Shore (new name btw) BlueClaws if that part matters to you.

Haven’t been to Somerset but we have been taking the kids to the BlueClaws for years and it is very kid friendly.
Up in cedar grove but taking them to Camden aquarium and cow town rodeo night before, spending night down there and then heading up. Figured stop for a game as driving back north.

Disappointed BlueClaws play Renegades the next weekend but hotel isn’t available.

Make sure to check out the promotional schedule for both and see if they have something the kids (or you) might like.

Fireworks every Friday night post game for the BlueClaws. Sometimes Saturdays too. Really good too.
