Does anyone think Man City won’t blow everyone away in CL and Prem?
Premier yeah, but as far as the champions league I have been thinking that for years and they keep failing.
If you're asking whether I'd take Man City or the field in CL, the answer is the latter. Without hesitation.
They looked like Spurs did in the last year of Poch's run. They haven't refreshed their midfield nearly enough. They haven't gone after a permanent CB partner for VVD. And Klopp's energy and screaming seems like it is falling on deaf ears.
For the entire start of the season. It’s on Klopp, they have talent, spent money on attacking options. Something is wrong, Man City might run away from them fast.
They have a tired and slow midfield. Their whole high line, high press strategy doesn't work when the midfielders are getting to the ball fast enough and letting opponents have time to spot passes over the top/thru their back 4. TAA is also painfully out of form, whether its mental or physical, I do not know.
CIty-RBL, BVB-Chelsea, inter-porto are also big time games. brugge-benfica, and eintracht-napoli maybe not as big time in terms of name, but could be some really entertaining matches.
