If you are interested, there is an amazing story regarding a soccer player for Bolton Wanderers from a few years ago named Fabrice Muamba. Fabrice collapsed on the field and medical teams rushed to his aid. Amazingly, one of the fans at the game was a cardiologist who convinced the ushers to let him onto the field to help. He was instrumental in convincing the paramedic team to go to the hospital where he worked instead of to the closer hospital they were headed to because he knew that the equipment they had at the hospital where he worked was not available at the closer hospital. This doctor then took primary responsibility for Fabrice's treatment. Fabrice was technically dead for nearly 80 minutes, but due to the outstanding medical care he immediately received and the intervention of the cardiologist from the crowd, he was saved and has made a full recovery.
