They needed to request permission because Coughlin was technically not fired, but rather resigned with a year left on his deal with the Giants. The Giants granted permission and the Eagles will reportedly meet with Coughlin on Monday.

If they invest in a 70-year old head coach just to taunt/haunt the Giants then they truly are stupid. Yes, the man is a HOFer but the sport is increasingly becoming a young mans game even in the coaching ranks.

they fired andy reid to hire chip kelly and then fired him after 3 seasons. They kept a known racist on their team hurting their locker room chemistry. they gave 100+ million contract to a puppy killer and ex con. eagles org is stupid.

i didnt say they would hire him. the taunt/haunt part is just the interview.
