OT: Disney World

Should be a blast! BLT has become our go-to resort due to its convenient location. Also, a solid pool area.

Restaurants booked:
Tony's Town Square (MK)
Prime Time 50s Cafe (HS)
Garden Grill (Epcot)
Via Napoli (Epcot) - booked twice!
Cinderella's Royal Table (MK)
Be Our Guest (MK)
'Ohana (Poly)
Yachtman's Steakhouse (Yacht and Beach Resort)
Liberty Tree Tavern (MK)
California Grill (Contemporary)
Boma (AK Lodge)

We love Steakhouse 71 and normally get it for breakfast or lunch (they have takeout service for BLT guests).
We have plans for several of these on our next trip. Do you do 2 sit down meals a day on days you are going to a park? We usually only do 1 on park days and 2 on our free days.

We plan to do Hoop Dee Doo early dinner again and we want to try Space 220- late lunch/early dinner. We did Be Our Guest and Liberty Tree on a prior trip. We are staying at AK-Kidani savanna view for 6 days and then going on a 4-day cruise. I was going to book either Garden Grill or Tusker House as an additional character meal just not sure if I might be trying to get too many restaurants into the six days. We have a kitchen and while we do not cook, we do bring in a grocery order.

We have Jiko- dinner and Sanaa- dinner also.

For our 8 days we booked (all park days this trip):

- 8 sit down dinners
- 3 sit down lunches
- 1 sit down breakfast (Boma, which is just before heading back to the airport to leave)

This is pretty typical for us. We normally like formal dinners and a mix of lunches. Rarely book a restaurant for breakfast since we are lazy in the morning and just do something in room or get takeout from Contempo Cafe or Steakhouse 71.

We love Hoop, but haven't been back since COVID (mostly due to that area of Fort Wilderness being a construction crater). Our daughter was in the show as the Texas Ranger in 2019. Never been to Space 220 yet. Jiko is amazing. We've been there a bunch of times. Never been to Sanaa but that is also highly rated and popular.

Personally, I think the Garden Grill is the best character experience restaurant. It's got the lowest ratio of guests to characters so you will see them more than once during your meal. Mickey, Chip, Dale, Pluto. Food is solid as well.

Thanks. I have heard good things about Garden Grill so I will try to add it.

I enjoy breakfasts but I usually get it on our free day and departure day.

Our normal trip is 9/10 days with 2 free days. This year the cruise is taking some days away from the parks

of all things.. I love the salad at Liberty Tree... so strange how good I find it. Let me know if Tonys is good.. it once had a bad rep, but someone told me it has improved. When I want Italian in this area I go to the Swan to il milano.. even their little pizzas are good. If you haven't tried it.. you can take a boat from Swan/Dolphin to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. They might even have regular Disney bus transpo.. not sure. But if you'll have a car they validate for parking/valet.

Solid food list you got there. Enjoy! (and of course Hoop De Doo is fun.. you know it! But stopping teh boat from Wilderness Lodge to the Campground was a bad move.. speaking of which...Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is pretty good.. but go with an appetite.. for food and shenaigans).

On Space 220.. There's a way you can go in for cocktails and not have to do the whole dinner thing. You'll get 80%-90% of the "show" and not be tied down there for a whole dinner prix fixe deal.. but cocktails only is a walk-up thing.. hard to predict if you'll get in. Sanaa is a fave for my people. Enjoy.

Oh.. for AK park.. the Caring for Giants guided tour is pretty good if you have an elephant fan in your group. There's a baby elephant now if you catch him with mom out there. This does not get you onto the Safari ride without waiting in line.. they should raise the price and add that, imho. And the baby tiger is all the rage in the Asia walk-through thing.

I am going to try the Rhino extra thing. I heard it is difficult to get. One show only at 11am.

For those that have an Asian Food craving , Shiki Sai Restaurant, which opened up I believe in 2023 , has a great selection of dishes including sushi and sashimi offerings. Located in Epcot it was a tough get last summer. Used our concierge in order to secure a reservation. Great views. Wonderful service . And though like all else Disney ( high priced) it was well worth it.

Heading out tomorrow. Premier passes ready to go! :)
Really looking forward to WDW without being on the phone or on a fastpass/LL schedule. Hopefully it will feel like old times.
