I’m not sure these guys got it right , but opens the door to some interesting conversation

The Bills not making it surprised me. Titans checking in at No. 1 surprised me as well. But judging from some of the fight videos we see posted here, is the difference between top and bottom of drunken NFL fans that big?

Weather no doubt a factor.
Easier to sit out longer in warm weather.
Harder to sit out for a day drinking cold beer when its 40 and drizzling

As a lifelong Jet fan, I stopped going to home games many years ago. I enjoy having some drinks before a game as much as anyone , but the level of drunkenness and hideous behavior and language was depressing me. I enjoy watching games from home.

I wonder how the NFL will deal with attendance at late season games as they keep extending the season. I guess it doesn’t really matter as there’s so much other revenue out there and contending team attendance will offset that of the non-contending teams, especially in cold weather cities.

Bs
What did they use for data?

I know more beer is sold at jets games than giants games. But who knows what is happening in the lots.

I personally don’t care if people get drunk as long as they are under control enough to not throw up or be super obnoxious. The language and I am about as far from prim Donna as you can get but swearing in front of women and or kids just ticks me off. Show a little class.

I think Jet fans run younger than Giant fans.
NYG fans more establishment and Jets were the young upstarts
Giants go way back, and even older fans followed their fathers interests from 40s/50s/60s.
NYG fans can go off the hook but NYJ fans rowdier (but their lady fans are prettier - LI influence).
Kinda like Yankees/Mets fans I think.

You’re writing in verse again but I get it and I think you’re right. 😁

Drunk fans also drive. I remember a young girl got paralyzed by a drunk NYG fan. A long time ago I learned (at Army games) that some fans go to games to get drunk more than watch the games. They can start at 9 and go to 6

Interesting. My family had season tickets at West Point in the alumni section for 55 years. One of the most sober crowds I've experienced. Definitely the most sober student section.

For the most part the crowds are pretty tame and any drunks are usually the happy sort (Budweiser "wassup!!" commercial type). My fam can do tailgates with a few hundred people and there are some guys that will drink all day and miss the game but they aren't rowdy types.

Currently all games are day games but when ESPN was doing Army games they started at 8pm. Those games could get sketchy with the townie kids and visiting fans drinking for hours. The reunion crowds are ok but the wedding crowds can have some dopes. I've seen Trophy Point crowds get sloppy drunk with people passing out.

Cadets can get their drinks in but are more strategic about it. USMA is pretty lax compared to the old days. They had a cheating scandal in 2020 (around 75 cadets with 50 athletes) and some guys were held back a year but not kicked-out. An Army football player got killed in a car crash in 2016 and he was drinking all night (post win) and driving a car he wasn't supposed to have. I've come to see current USMA as Stanford with camo and more PT. I had a friend's cadet son tell me the place "isn't what people think it is." The place had a drop-out rate of 30-40% in 70s-80s and now its like 11%

Yeah, but compare West Point game day to Wisconsin, especially the student section. Hell, compare it to Rutgers.
