OT: Harbaugh -- QBs not protected in practices/Spring game

See linked article -- in USA Today, what looks like a paid-for promotional article for Cracker Barrel and Michigan's new coach Jim Harbaugh, that reads like something from SkyMall magazine. One interesting point that may account for Michigan's large number of QBs on the roster ... Harbaugh does not protect his QBs in the Spring game and "other practices" (not sure exactly what this means).

Very interesting, I'm sure he's one of the very few d1 coaches who makes his QBs take hits in a Spring game. Good for him (unless one gets seriously hurt, yikes.)

must be really tough having to coach at a school with a deep history of success by your predecessors and nearly unlimited financial resources...

i can only imagine the difficult decisions that must be made -- like what to do with too many QBs on your roster...

I feel bad for the guy.
