At the top of the list is Jimbo Fisher. Crazy numbers best recruiting class ever. Guess the move to the SEC was a mistake

If anyone wants to keep banging that stupid Jimmy's and Joe's drum instead of Xs and Os here's Exhibit AAA to prove how important coaching is.

I mean Jimbo is a good coach, this entire board would shit their pants if he came to Rutgers.

now that aTm can buy players legally, I wonder who the oil daddies’ dream coach would be. Urban? Briles? Deion?

Personally, I'd rather be banging stupid Jackie's and Jills than stupid Jimmy's and Joe's. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Actually I wouldn't want him at all. I don't want his offense, it's too complex and he's under massive pressure to get an OC and change it. To date he's sounds pretty stubborn about it and with that contract he's really got no reason to change. We'll see if he changes and adapts or not.

I advocate for KISS offenses often here and Fisher's offense is the exact opposite of that. There are memes of him online and his stack of playsheets in game and how he looks more like he's doing taxes than coaching football. No thanks. He's having trouble with a massive amount of raw talent. We'll never have that much raw talent on the roster and it's more reason not to go in that direction on offense.

Miami and Texas are others. You can say oh they've only been there a year or 2 but it's not as if those schools haven't been recruiting well beforehand either. They might have kicked it up a slight level higher now but there was talent on roster beforehand but for what they're paying so far not much results. We'll see in the future.

Quinn Ewers is average at best so far in Sarkisian's offense but it's still early in his career. However, Drake Maye at UNC in a Leach style offense also at a similar point in his career is one of the top qbs in the country and garnering Heisman talk. IMO, while never a guarantee, type of offense and simplicity of offense matters and increases probability of picking it up quicker.

I'd be surprised if he was let go with the massive amount of money owed. That's crazy even for A&M money.

TA&M booster regarding 86 million: "Let me get my wallet out. Would you like that in 100s?"

Well the highest buyout ever was 21.45M for Malzahn at Auburn. This is 4 times that and they would have to spend money on a new staff too. Seems like a big ask even for A&M boosters.

All of the upper echelon SEC teams have rosters full of 4 and 5 stars stacked up like firewood. The big reason that the Saban Death Star has dominated the SEC for the majority of his tenure is coaching. Alabama's personnel isn't markedly better than Georgia's or LSU's in any given year.

Maybe not, being able to shell out around 100 mill to fire a football staff just might be something those ole boys would proud of while downing a few bourbon and branch waters at the country club bar.

Also, if they did that, the next coach is gonna say: "You'd better write me a big contract with a big golden parachute!"
