OT: If Fitzpatrick plays like last night, Jets are a super bowl team

He was amazing last night against the Bills. And he beat the Ryan brothers who are acknowledged as the defensive geniuses in the NFL.

If you are a Jets fan, you should feel good about this team. They are well balanced on both offense and defense.
 
The schedule is more difficult this year. I can see them being a better team than last year with a worse record. The next 4 games is a brutal stretch and that doesn't include the Patriots

Fine to feel good about the team but it's not 2011 anymore.

Bills were also missing their two best DL. Having your defensive gameplan basically come down to nothing but man coverage was moronic.
 
it was amazing that game was as close as it was. Jets did look great but can't give up 31 pts to the Bills.

And the schedule makers really "F"ed the Jets this year, wow what a murderer's row

It goes both ways - those teams are playing a good Jets team and should be concerned about a tough game against them.

The Jets lost their suck. Kidding Buffalo looked horrible. However, the Jets' Quincy Enunwa has got to be the best wide receiver in the league. What a tremendous player. There. I just jinxed it.
 
Jets should be 2-0 and have played very well fir the most part. Their punting scares me, last night fitz almost lost the ball 4 times. Our dl and wr are great. I like what I see. Hey it was a must win fir the bills also and it was on the road.

Rex is s good defensive coach, but Rob is a doofus .

Don't really blame Roman, you guys need a true WR1. Watkins is not getting the job done, and never mind what you gave up to get him in the first place. Add a guy like Gordon (if he can keep out of trouble) and you have a different O.

He's good, certainly smart, but I wouldn't go that far. The Bills were missing several key players, and the Jets won a close game. Let the season play out for a while first.
 
The Bills gave up 37 points to the Jets.

They allowed Forte to run for 100 yards.

Two (and almost three) Jets had over 100 yards receiving.

The Bills offense, meanwhile, was playing with their best receiver trying to get by on a bum foot. And with a QB who can run, but can not throw with any consistency.

So, with Rex and his bother Rob in charge of the defense, Rex did the only thing he could do. He had no choice but to fire his offensive coordinator.

They were picking on Revis last night. Sooner or later it happens to everyone.
 
This is NFL. You are not going to blow anyone out and will lose close games. Even last night the Jets outplayed the Bills, the game was not decided till the very end.

Also, this was a road game during a short week. It's hard to win road games and Jets hung in there and won.

There is a parity in this league. Jets lost a tough one last week, but that is going to happen.

Jets look like they have a mean streak.

Bills have a boatload of good players and remember Jets lost to them twice last year. I think this was a huge win.
 
I will say this about the Bills offense even though the Bills scored 31 points.

The Bills offense did not run a play from scrimmage in the red zone until there was about 1 1/2 minutes remaining in the game and the Jets playing a prevent D.

The Bills scored 1 TD in garbage time (Jets up by 13, < 2 minutes to go).

The Bills scored 1 TD on a fumble, scoop and score.

Their other 2 TD's where on bombs of 84 and 76 yards.

So, essentially, they had NO sustained offensive drives against the Jets.

This sounds like the kind of crap 'Cuse fans use to type here once we started beating them. "Well...blah, blah, blah" lol...I mean com'on...this thread is absurd.

The Bills managed a whopping 7 points against Baltimore last Sunday. 'Nuff said.

Good laugh , thanks for that. Bills are awful and Cincy has some question marks on offense now with losing #2 and #3 options at the WR position.

Jets - 8 wins this year.

That performance from Fitzpatrick was absolutely incredible for all the wrong reasons. I think it was in the 4th quarter, but on one series he managed to throw 4 straight balls that should have been INTs had the DBs just held on to the ball. They finally held on to the 4th one to get the pick. Woof.

If Fitzpatrick plays the way he did against the Chiefs, the only Bowl they're going to is the one I just got off.
