Really happy our game with Stony Brook isn't until Friday... Fort Wayne is about to beat Indiana by 15-20

Fort Wayne beat Indiana last year on a neutral court in overtime. Tonight Ft. Wayne has taken IU to the woodshed. Indiana beat Notre Dame on Saturday but tonight they were sluggish and Ft. Wayne made I believe 17 threes. You can never take anyone for granted. The final was 92-72.

Pike needs to show the team this game to remind our players what happens when you don't show up.

The let down game this year, NJIT I believe, he was in them from the tipoff. He can only do so much, especially with our depth

I watched about a quarter of that IU v ND game, and I honestly thought both teams looked bad (not that I would've predicted Indy losing to Ft. Wayne). I said to my gf that I though RU would beat either team.

Indiana was very sloppy with like 13 turnovers at half. Morgan got 2 quick fouls and sat the rest of the half and no one could score. Fort Wayne just went off in the second half and it looked like Indiana had no legs to cover them and they hit three after three . I believe 17 of them. Archie Miller had no answer. Indiana also could not buy a bucket or a three, as it was obvious they had no legs. I am glad our game against Stony Brook is Friday especially since they only lost to Providence by 2 on Sunday. Tough to get back up after emotional win over a very good Norte Dame team. Indiana is a very beatable team.

it goes without saying, you have to be ready and willing to show up to play every night. Despite a few lapses at times, I am glad that we have the players that understand this here. At Indiana in watchng them this year, they can be great at time but very awful with minimal effort at others. There are several other Big 10 teams like them.

Coach P is very good at reading the "team's readiness." At the NJIT game start you could see he was concerned. Maybe it is something he picked up in practice or at the meeting before the game started. Coach was wired on making sure the team came out focused. The first few plays he started giving guys the "quick hook" and then after 2 minutes he called time out and screamed at them for not coming prepared to play. That is just another item that this coaching staff is very good at. They know each player and what makes each guy tick.

Fort Wayne was 17-of-30 from 3-point range. Almost impossible to beat a team shooting like that from beyond the arc.

If they were 11-30 they still lose by 2.

If Fort Wayne goes 17-30 and wins by 3 and it wasn't like they were hitting wide open shots that is one thing. They lost by 20.

Hitting 17 threes deflates an opponent. If Fort Wayne had made only 11 threes, the score would have been close through the course of the game. Indiana would have been played much harder down the stretch with a chance to win instead of throwing in the towel with a few minutes remaining.

Major ouch! I'm glad our game isn't until Friday, where our kids can slowly come down from their high from the SHU win. Pikiell and staff will have them ready.
