Pike needs to show the team this game to remind our players what happens when you don't show up.
The let down game this year, NJIT I believe, he was in them from the tipoff. He can only do so much, especially with our depth
Fort Wayne was 17-of-30 from 3-point range. Almost impossible to beat a team shooting like that from beyond the arc.Fort Wayne beat Indiana last year on a neutral court in overtime. Tonight Ft. Wayne has taken IU to the woodshed. Indiana beat Notre Dame on Saturday but tonight they were sluggish and Ft. Wayne made I believe 17 threes. You can never take anyone for granted. The final was 92-72.
The Indiana defense was atrocious. I watched the whole game.
Hitting 17 threes deflates an opponent. If Fort Wayne had made only 11 threes, the score would have been close through the course of the game. Indiana would have been played much harder down the stretch with a chance to win instead of throwing in the towel with a few minutes remaining. If they were 11-30 they still lose by 2.
If Fort Wayne goes 17-30 and wins by 3 and it wasn't like they were hitting wide open shots that is one thing. They lost by 20.
We have them Monday February 5 at the RAC after they play at home February 3 vs Michigan State. If you have a goal north of 5 wins for us this is one I think you almost have to have.
I look at home games like playing tennis. You always have to hold serve.
5 minutes in the penalty box for not attributing “hold serve” to Coach Waters.
Major ouch! I'm glad our game isn't until Friday, where our kids can slowly come down from their high from the SHU win. Pikiell and staff will have them ready.Fort Wayne beat Indiana last year on a neutral court in overtime. Tonight Ft. Wayne has taken IU to the woodshed.
