OT: KNICKS playoff thread Go NY Go NY GO

Shouldn’t matter. Was a flagrant dirty play. Among other ones he had in the game. I am summoning the 90s Knicks for game 4
Your right it shouldn't, but it probably did. Again if he was assessed a flagrant 1 when he kneed IH in the groin they officials would have had to toss him on the Robinson flagrant. He was totally out of control of his emotions at that point and I don't think he would have behaved differently if he had been assessed a flagrant 1 earlier, which he easily could have been. The Hoop Collective podcast I was listening to this morning indicated there was a third incident where he also kneed Mitch in the groin that was not reviewed.

Summoning the spirits of Oakley and Mason for Sunday afternoon.

he also had real nice hip check moving pick in the backcourt at one point

what a dirty asshole

somebody needs to take that knee out

Take it up with the NBA and officiating crew.

As a Sixer fan I agree it was a dumb/dirty play.

I’m just trying to add some context to the reality of why he wasn’t ejected. If that was regular season or game 1/2 in MSG he’s most likely ejected.

The non ejection was a makeup for the abomination of officiating that occurred to end game 2.

Everyone knew the Sixers would get some friendly calls at home after the horrid officiating in game 2.
The called for the foul on Maxey should have never happen because he shoved Hart to create space to receive the inbound pass. That is what everyone overlooked. Also, pointed out was how the Sixers grabbed and held Brunson for most of game two. The media pointed out to the Knicks' coach and his response was since they didn't call the fouls for Brunson, he knew they wouldn't make the call at the end. Btw, the Knicks commit the third fewest fouls in the league.

The reality is that the NBA two minute Report stated that the refs missed 2 fouls on Maxey.

The report also stated that Nurses’ two timeout attempts were missed (albeit one had questionable timing).

This two minute Report is essentially pointless except for the fact that everyone knew the officiating in the next game would favor the Sixers in their home arena.

That’s all I’m trying to say.

Let’s also not forget that the NBA is a business and they would love the series to go 6/7 games. Ejecting Embiid would have shortened the Series really quick.

IMO the reason he wasn't ejected has more to do with his star/MVP level status in the League.

Embiid will take at least 20 foul shots and Brunson will need to score at least 40 points for the Knicks to win the game on the road.

Great win by a gritty group. Brunson carried them offensively and OG put the clamps on a gassed Embiid. Great turnout by the Knick fans in both games. The sixers out to be a little embarrassed about that.

Series not over by any means abut that was a huge win.
I heard reports that the secondary market was very reasonable for Thursday, not sure about today, but from the look of that video, seems so.

Very reasonable compared to MSG. Probably a little higher today versus Thursday given the weekend

Every other night now
Embiid has been awful in 4th Q all series

How about not starting out 9-0 or 11-2 this time
Maybe Knicks should start that way and keep building on fire all night

The Knicks defense in the last quarter was a thing of beauty . So much faster rotating then the sixer ball movement even with out IH with 5 fouls ….

i really think they can get to the eastern confrnce finals …When they get randle back….they are going to be really good.

LOT of Knicks fans there, felt like I was leaving the Garden on the way out. Ended up getting some pretty good seats for much cheaper than they would’ve been at MSG.

What an adjustment by Thibs putting OG on Embiid when Hartenstein picked up his fifth foul. He shut him down the entire fourth quarter.

was about the post exact same thing

so many second second chance pts it seemed ( i didn't look at exact numbers) outhustled 76ers on those tips off the offensive board , keeping it alive numerous times for another shot attempt

Was watching a tiktok video of someone jokingly giving a hard time to the shirt/hat guy outside the stadium since half his table was Knicks hats. The guy selling was laughing and apologizing but was saying ‘but there’s so many of them (Knicks fans) here!’

Another reason to hate the NBA. At the Starbucks travel center in DE on I95 at 5PM. It was mobbed with at least 8 people with NYK jerseies or shirts. Allan Houston and John Starks! Not sure where they were from beomes DE is south of Philly. Luckily I just get drip coffee so I didn't have to wait alongside 25 or so people

I for some reason also remember a terrible football pass on a huge possession late in the game. ?? Oak ?? got a rebound a threw a Hail Mary way over someone’s head

44-34 embiid blocked Hartenstein dunk
Huge play. Hopefully it won’t be a game saver

Knicks just need not to come out and suck for the first 4-5 mins again.
