I know there are a few Rutgers fans who are FGCU fans, too. I've met a few at FGCU's cozy, on-campus RAC-like Alico Arena. On Sunday, Michigan State hosted FGCU and won a home-cooked 1-point game. FGCU played without their best player.

I saw Rutgers baseball play at FGCU last Spring. More than a few Rutgers fans there, including an ex-Rutgers AD, who looked great. Would love to see Rutgers hoops add FGCU, coached by West Orange, NJ native Joe Dooley (St. Benedict's), to their OOC schedule. Women hoops, as well (doubleheader). The multi-year series of games might even include a game or two at FGCU (Fort Myers/Naples area).

Yes, let's keep scheduling team's like North Texas and Hartford. Why give the season ticket buyers a reason to buy? FGCU plays an entertaining style and it might even help us a land a Florida athlete or two. Is Corey Sanders from Florida? And if any of the games are at FGCU, we might even have a Rutgers fan or two in the stands for an away game.

Bump. I can't be the only one with a suggestion for an OOC game. Lehigh and Bucknell would be others. Our current OOC schedule leaves a lot to be desired and does little to prepare us for the Big Ten schedule.

Eventually, FGCU will field a football program. Southwest Florida areas Naples and Fort Myers and Immokolee have really solid high school football, producing many Div-1 players every year.
