At the risk of infuriating Cali, my book on Trump was just released. I spent every free moment the last few months on it, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. By reading the book you'll be able to understand why Trump's been so successful without having to know him (I was on The Apprentice) or run for Congress (2010 in Ohio, won Dem nomination, lost in general). Look how nice I am to you guys...I saved you from experiencing those two amazingly painful experiences.

If I end up making any money on the book, I'm going to donate somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-20% of it to the Facilities fund. (All profits will be donated, just not to Rutgers).

Many thanks!

Congrats on getting the book out. Why wouldn't you keep any of the profits? That isn't a crime and you should get compensated if people find your work useful. Seems like a silly badge of honor to me.

You know, I keep meaning to ask what you thought about Trump's campaign. Now I guess it's going to cost me 5 bucks to find out!

Haha. Well, this isn't my full time job. This was a passion project and I didn't do it for the money. It's not a badge of honor. But, I did figure that if it convinced someone to buy knowing I didn't have a profit motive, all the better.

Thanks for the congrats!

Have you sold the movie rights yet? You could probably fund the entire facilities project then. :cool2:

Congrats on the book release. As I'm sure you know, a former Rutgers alum and Rhodes Scholar was a winner on The Apprentice (first season maybe...?). I'm sure like him, you have some interesting tales to tell.

Whatever happenned to Randal Pinkett ?

He seems to be very busy and successful.

I didn't realize that he got his PhD.

Dr. Pinkett holds five academic degrees including the following: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, that he completed with a 3.9 GPA while serving as President of MEET, the Rutgers Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Captain of the Rutgers University Varsity Men's Track and Field team competing as a high jumper and long jumper; Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Oxford University, England as a Rhodes Scholar; Master of Science (S.M.) in Electrical Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management as a participant in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Program; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the MIT Media Laboratory.

I'll request a copy at the local library. Always good to hear different perspectives..unless you're invited to guest speak at Rutgers. Sad to say the 1st Amendment is narrowly (mis)interpreted by some Rutgers students these days. Actually, you know what would be an interesting read? A look into the hyper-politically correct/entitled culture of young millenials or whatever the heck generation is in college now. They are the victims of nothing and everything at the same time.

Red Team, I sense some bitterness ? My brother's generation from the 50"s denigrated mine from the late 60's and 70's . Mine went after the GenXer's and Slackers . They are now assaulting Millenials and Millenials will crush those who succeed them in the garden of youth. It all goes round and round.

Actually, RedTeam, it is you who are misinterpreting the first amendment. Don't feel bad, you are not the only one.

The first amendment protects our citizens from GOVERNMENTAL infringement of their right to free expression. It does not mean, as I believe you are inferring, that Rutgers students do not have the right to oppose the university granting a forum to those whose views they consider to be outside the proper scope of public discourse. In fact those students, be they right or wrong in their opposition, are appropriately exercising their first amendment rights.

Congratulations and much luck on the sale of your book RUhobbit. Will it be released in book form first or Kindle-like introduction to the pubic?
