When asked whether Pitt quarterback Nate Peterman's accuracy this season has been a product of his play or the staff's play calling, Narduzzi said it was a combination of both, and added a little twist at the end.

You could have a talented quarterback with a bad play caller and make him look bad," Narduzzi said. "You see that around the country, some closer than others.

It's not a stretch to say that Narduzzi was probably referring to the Nittany Lions coach James Franklin, offensive coordinator and playcaller John Donovan and quarterback Christian Hackenberg, who has struggled this season despite being projected as one of the top quarterbacks available in next year's NFL Draft.

Interesting situation with Hack. Wonder what he would look like with a better OL and OC.

I like it, stir the pot with the in state rival. I think their series is starting up again too. He's had a solid start so far there. He's already created a top 10 defense as you'd expect from him but his offense is ranked over 100. If I'm going to have those numbers I'd prefer them to be reversed with offense. ND/Duke are his toughest games left.

He wasn't on the top of my lists because I prefer offensive coaches but I think he's got potential to do a solid job there. Solid start but still early, obviously have to see how it goes the rest of this year and then beyond.

I think there's definitely some truth in what he said but it doesn't mean you see most coaches say it out loud. I kinda like the fact that he did. Nothing too crazy but a little subtle, or maybe not so subtle, jab.

Additional comments from Coach Pat appearing today in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Speaking of his time at Michigan State. "I've been in a state where they thought they owned it," Narduzzi said in an interview with WPXI shortly after he was hired at Pitt. "They thought". Narduzzi and Dantonio helped flip the balance of the rivalry, as Michigan State went 6-2 against Michigan.

Two days ago Pitt just got a comment from JUNIOR Paris Ford a Rivals 4-Star recruit. More expected shortly.

As I stated on an earlier I think Pitt's recruiting class come February will be fine.

I think Pat is just getting started and the Nits are starting to worry.

Looks like the Pitt and Penn State rivalry is heating up.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Narduzzi hired Jim Chaney who is a very capable OC (IMO) from Arkansas last year.

I asked Southern about the hire and he basically said that it was not a big loss for Arkansas.

So how is Arkansas doing this year.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Isn't Pitt's recruiting class ranked #65? Penn State's is #6. How worried are they really?

This year Pitt will be able to only take about 16 recruits (we have 11 commits).

As I said before, lets discuss the final recruiting ranking in February.

What I like about Narduzzi is I believe he is a great Game Day Coach.

For example, Pitt had trouble handling Georgia Techs triple option in the 1st half and they laid 21 points on Pitt.

Narduzzi (at half time) said he filed up several black boards on Pitt adjustments.

Net result Georgia Tech only scored 7 points in the second half.

Well at this juncture Pitt is 5-1 (only 2 home games) with our only loss coming from #12 ranked Iowa by 3 points (on a final seconds 57 yard field goal).

Lets see how it plays out.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

He'd look like an actual quarterback. Bad coaching and play calling will turn five star filet mignon into two star ground beef.

Whenever a coach opens his mouth and talks trash about another program, I see it as a really low class move.

One of the (many) reasons why I have such little respect for Franklin is for what he said about RU an d Maryland a couple years ago.

I hear you and agree, but since Franklin likes to start the shit, I have no problem with his targets throwing it right back at him. It would not have bothered me one bit if Flood had done something similar.
