OT: NJ Devils 2024-2025 Thread

He have to play at Florida again? What kind of fresh hell is this? We deserve a cupcake game after that one.

Those aren't the honest facts though. They addressed both size and toughness in the offseason.
  • Brenden Dillon - 6'4" - 225 lbs - 10th in NHL hits last year
  • Paul Cotter - 6'2" - 213 lbs - 17th in NHL hits last year
  • Jonathan Kovacevic - 6'5" 223 lbs
  • Stefan Noesen - 6'1" - 205 lbs
They are pounding the Panthers in back to back games physically. That dumbass is not worth paying attention to in any thread.

remember those rumors in the offseason that Jonathan Marchessault was pretty much a done deal to the devils . It’s been a blessing in disguise that Nashville swooped in and got him . Then fitzy pivoted to Noeson and Tatar. Noesons been a stud and signed at 2.75 for 3 years .

I’m Heading down to Tampa tomorrow and going to game Saturday for my son’s bday . Then Disney for 6 days . He has no clue and thinks he’s going to school tomorrow .

That's an awesome surprise - he'll never forget that.

My family and I are also heading over to Tampa for the game. Should be a fun one!

Some times the best moves are the ones that never materialized.

Man we're in the wrong division. In the Atlantic we'd be in 2nd place in points per game. In the Metro, even with the Rangers and Carolina losing last night, we're still in a pretty distant 4th.

What standings are you looking at? We are tied for first with Carolina. However, Carolina has 3 games in hand.

This is a much stronger team than last years, though still not sold that the netminders are top tier.

I never look at the standings until mid-January. That is when the teams who will be in the playoffs start to distance themselves from those who won't. Being in 1st at this time of year is nice but it doesn't matter.

Hamilton responsible for the Preds 1st period goal. Under no pressure in his own end put the puck right on a Pred stick. Preds kept the puck in the zone & put it in the net. Terrible defenseman as in D.

And yet we kinda stunk last year without him.

Also, don't look now but Nico is on a bender.

And we stunk with him. Better defensemen this year hide him a bit.
Hamilton has a casual sloppiness in the zone sometimes which is not ideal, but with him back in the lineup our power play has improved 12 spots to #2. It's hard to overstate how big of a headache it is for other teams to have to deal with a guy at the point who can score from over 30 feet away.

They can give Dougie some easier matchups with the other pairings playing so well . But he is elite on our PP with that shot .

3 PP goals today!!!!!!! Dougie had the first.

Why does this team play so bad at home when they have the advantage with last line change ?
10-4 on road and 6-5-2 at home . Need to step it up .
