Going to have to bite the bullet. Tailgate gets increasingly larger this year we are looking to add a TV to the mix and would like suggestions on a generator. Trying to keep the the noise down, I was told the Honda was the best for this but very $$$$

If your just adding a tv skip the generator. Buy an inverter, battery charged and a deep cell battery and you have enough power to run a tv all day and completely silent. You can put it all together for about $100.

The Honda is the only way to go super quiet barely noticeable and will run for ever on less than a gallon of gas. My Honda has a handle and wheels which make it even easier. The key with the Honda is the noise or lack of it and you will never have to buy another because it will last forever. You get what you pay for so go with the Honda before I was in the scarlet lot I was in the green and blue and you would find plenty of huminoids who would have the loudest generators that it just sucked for anyone who was close by go the Gentlemen route and get the Honda.

Believe or not I got mine from harbor freight Predator for $450 2500 watts and it works just fine. You can get it cheaper if you pay attention to sales. The Honda is quieter but with all the noise at the lots you can't notice the difference. I put it in front of my truck and can't hear it. No one around you will care.
Now if you want a generator for home stuff or when the power goes out, then pay the bucks for a Honda. I have a bigger one for that so the Predator is for tailgating and backup source.

I bought the Wen inverter generator. About $400 shipped. Very quiet. I have broken it in and have run it for a couple of hours.
