OT: The Jersey Devil Spotted in Galloway Township

Notice that, outside of the flapping of the wings, the rest of the torso is static, it never moves.

Happy Halloween!

By the way, back on January 16-23, 1909 there were a host of sightings of something reported from near the Jersey shore over toward Philadelphia.

In those days, New Brunswick had a trolley car system. Extra security was put on those cars in reaction to the newspaper stories.

I know someone who moved up from Florida, who had never even heard of the Jersey devil - describe seeing a creature ( the way many depict the jersey devil ) walk in front of her car, heading down the train tracks in Vineland. Said she was weirded out, and couldn't comprehend what the heck she was looking at. The conversation we had was even about the Jersey devil - she brought it up out of nowhere

yeah... its that time of year isn't it... him, and "Big Red Eye" (New Jerseys Bigfoot) sightings galore!!

I am one of those who would love to see the Jersey Devil is real. I really would. This is not something that looks real to me. But it is October, so what the hell?

Looks like a flying teddy bear.

In all seriousness, no way wings that small could hold up an animal that size. I call massive BS.

Are you sure the Chupacabra didn't hitch a ride up from Florida in your friend's trunk?

If that photo doesn't prove its existence, I don't know what does!!

Even a 10 second video of the fabled crature in flight. Wow!!!!

Attached is the link (NJ.com)

Having grown up on the edge of the Pine Barrens and spent quite a bit of time in Galloway Township, I can safely say these sightings are a directly related to the following variables: alcohol intake, number of missing teeth, and IQ deviation below the norm...

First time there's been a NJ Devils sighting of any relevance around here in a long time.

Signed,
A New York Rangers fan

Yet another jackass "look at me, aren't I so much more special than everyone else" comment.

You were doing well for a while.

If anyone needs evidence that the Jersey Devil exists, look no further...he goes by the pseudonym "Steve."

Apparently they don't have turkey buzzards in her part of Florida. Having walked those boulevard tracks throughout my youth, I can tell you there are many dogs/cats/possoms/raccoons who have met their end sleeping on those tracks when the 6am freight comes by.

That being said, When I was 12, riding my bike to Ocean City, my friends & I saw something on Union Road near Route 49 that looked similar to that picture. Didn't have the horsiness to it, but it was hairy & flew. Four of us saw it & to this day four of us have no idea what it was.

Wow, you must be feeling a little ornery after having to admit you were so wrong about your Carroo posts - that's the only explanation I can think of for your ridiculous post here, since you are probably the #1 practicioner of "look at me" posts making fun of others on this board - most of which I chuckle at and I'm a little disappointed you wouldn't react the same way to what I thought was a fairly gentle post making fun of people who might believe in the frickin' Jersey Devil. Unless of course you're actually a drunken, toothless, doltish piney, who believes in the Jersey Devil.

This MUST be REAL since NJ.com would never post a story that was complete utter BS just for the clicks you guys.

That photo has to be a fake. Come on, man there's nothing in that picture that proves it was really taken in Lower Galloway Township.

I don't spend even a small percentage of my time on denigrating generalizations the way that you do. And please, don't even try to play George C. Scott to your "Look at Me" award. You're the most egomaniacal person here, hands down, not even close, landslide.

Also, you spelled "practitioner" wrong.

Yeah, you never made "denigrating generalizations" during Guido-Hillbilly week - and my comments are akin to that - and you don't make any now. Right. That's BS and you know it. If you can't see my comments as gentle fun, I don't know what to tell you. Despite my comments, having grown up in that area, I still have friends who consider themselves Pineys and they would get a chuckle out of my joking around.

Also, what other "denigrating generalizations" do you see me making? None on this board, that I know of, and once in awhile on the CE board, usually in response to being attacked, which is what happens almost any time anyone to the left of Ronald Reagan posts over there. And if I'm egotistical then what does that make you, with just as many posts, many of which involve your "expert" opinion on some topic and often involve much more harshly worded criticisms of other posters than I ever make? Pot meet kettle.

And at least I'm not a bully, like you are - every time we get in one of these spats, you fire the first shot at me and then you tend to go ballistic when I fire back, including all kinds of threats, due to your obvious lack of emotional maturity. I kept quiet about your Carroo misinformation until now, but once you attack, I'll fire back. Ball's in your court now. Will it be another meltdown?

Yes, I spelled "practitioner" wrong - you got me. Would you like me to start pointing out your far more frequent errors in your posts?

Maybe you guys can start your own "intellectual discussion" thread, and every time one of you posts something and the other wants to "point out the logical inconsistencies", instead of going back and forth and taking other threads off topic, you can just add your "new" comments to the bottom of your "intellectual discussion" thread.

But mom, he started it!!!!

The video is completely fake.

The photo looks like a dog with wings.

Both fake. Can't believe anybody would fall for this halloween prank, including the idiots at NJ.com

No way, Dude. Totally real. Very convincing. Nothing to do with Halloween or it being October or anything like that...
