OT: Who serves the best Chicken Wings in New Jersey?

I guess I'm not a wing connoisseur. I can really eat any wing and prefer boneless. BDubs for multiple flavors, Friday's Jack Daniels wings, all the same.

Burgers on the other hand, I'll be all over that thread.
Boneless wings belong in a happy meal, bro. Real dudes eat bone-in wings or nothing

(I’m kidding… to each his own)

Don't like Marley's wings. Thick breading on them which is a huge turnoff for me in the wing game.
agree with this

Tommy's Tap across from Bridgewater mall (though i think its a chain) has very good "coal roasted" wings

This thread brings me back to 10 cent wings late 90’s maybe 2000 Monday night Charlie Browns on I think 24? 4 of us would go from campus 2 dozen each 96 wings and watch Monday night football. Wings were terrible but for $2.40 couldn’t beat it when your a poor college kid. Those were good times.

for wings not Buffalo but a spicy glaze Old Causeway Beach Haven West.

Maybe 22 ?

Looks like some places mentioned are permanently closed. Anyone has an updated list?

Also, anyone tried BirdHouse in AZ? I am trying to find similar place in the east coast.

Lol. Totally not a wing guy..

Burgers though, I have spent years trying to grill the perfect burger. And trying to find the best burger joint.

up North, Sharkys is considered one of the best, one of the locations being in Clifton....they run an ad saying they were chosen as the best in NJ, at some point

they do have lots of sauces, and you can combine them if wanted

http://www.sharkyswingsnj.com/east/indexs.php

and there are usually a few additional sauces as specials:

Sauces
Mild, medium, hot, extra hot, fire, hell, BBQ, teriyaki, oriental, honey mustard, Caesar, Parmesan, pepper corn, Maryland, Thai chili, Old Bay, blackened, lemon pepper butter, hot teriyaki, hot BBQ,Salt & Vinegar, Siracha,Chipolte, Mango Habanero, Pineapple Habanero,Boom Boom and Chili Lime. Mix your favorite sauces to create another.

Sharkys is good.
I was in a Clifton darts league and there were a couple teams out of Sharkys so we would be there a couple times a season.

Not much a wing connoisseur myself, but my sons swear by King Wing in Hillsborough.

Their Rte 4 location was a Covid casualty. I'd say very good but not great.
Where was Anthony’s on Rt 4? I hit the Fair Lawn or Ramsey from time to time. I do like those wings. There used to be a place in Paramus Park Mall called Urban Coal or something like that. They had the same wings as Anthony’s.

MSN did a survey of all 50 states and the location below won in NJ. I've never tried them but frankly if someone put as much effort into the quality of Wings as they do Pizza in NJ they'd have a gold mine.
The best I've ever had were at the Press Box on Dale Maybry in Tampa (by Kennedy). They didn't even win in Florida. Some place in St. Petersburg did and they must be lights out. (see link below)
Right now my winners are:
Longhorn Steak House (Rt 9 - Woodbridge) - I rate these a 7 so there must be better somewhere.
Bertuccis - Rt 35 Hazlet.

Not a fan of Quaker State - Greasy or Buffalo Wild Wings. I prefer them non-breaded, a good dry rub and having some actual chicken meat on them. Many are like paperclips with skin.

Winners of MSN vote:
NEW JERSEY
Peck Peck Korean Style Chicken, Teaneck
This mom & pop spot only has three sauces — soy garlic, sweet & spicy, and salt & pepper — but all three are loaded with flavor, so you'll never feel like you're missing out.

Any suggestions?

I don’t think they’d win in Tampa! Hatticks have awesome wings, best I’ve ever had anywhere!

Being up north, I am going to give props to Allendale and Mahwah Bar and Grill's...

Anybody into Korean double-fried chicken wings? Super crrrispy with a typically light breading. Individually ‘painted’ with sauce. There used to be a place in Ferren Deck before the wrecking ball. I think it was Kono?

On it in an office/food/apartment development. There's a Panera Bread a few doors down.
Ahhhhh- remember now. When we sold our house in Jan 2000- we were considering renting a luxury apartment for a year or two before buying again and we had looked at one of them in the apartment bldg that was just a step away from it. Can't believe I couldn't remember it.
