We are trying to book our honeymoon for the end of October into early November and we are trying decide between the following combinations...
Fiji & New Zealand
Tahiti & New Zealand
Seychelles & Dubai
Mauritius & Dubai

If you've been to any of these places or have heard about them we really wanna know about the weather especially when we are going, things to do, what area you stayed in, is it expensive outside of hotels, how's the water for swimming, snorkeling, and any advice you could give.

Supposedly the time we are going starts the rainy season in Fiji.

Well I can tell you all you want to know about Mauritius, as that's where Linda is from, and we've been there several times now. It's expensive, probably more expensive than the other three, but the service is fantastic. When we were first there we stayed at Trou Aux Biche, which was terrific. Another place which is supposed to be nice is Sugar Beach Hotel. I'll try to get some more skinny for you. The water is fantastic for any water activities you want to do - just amazing to look at. The cuisine is exceptional there, as most of the chefs have been trained in France. Officially it's the winter season there (yeah, right!) since they're south of the equator, which means you don't get 90-100 degree weather. We went there for our First Anniversary for the first two weeks of October, and the weather was fantastic.

Thanks for the info. Was it expensive getting meals outside of the hotels? When comparing hotels it seemed cheaper than fiji, tahiti, and seychelles for comparable hotels. Also I was reading the north west part of the island is the nicest with best weather, any info on that?

I have been to all of those places. Personally speaking, I would skip them all and go to the Maldives. Utterly amazing. Not that the other spots aren't, but the Maldives is next level.

Not a huge fan of Dubai, but you can easily fly through there. Emirates is an option, which is a great way to travel.

If you want more info., let me know.

I was in Dubai/Abu Dhabi for vacation an January and Abu Dhabi for a day in March-- both were disappointing. It felt like a mid-east/Indian/Pakistani NYC type of city with nothing special besides the mega malls and super-tall tower. If you have a free stop-over you might as well spend a couple days there but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd avoid Dubai for a honeymoon... I second the Maldives... I spend a lot of time in india for work and made a weekend trip... I'd highly reccomend it

I would go to the islands of French Polynesia. Tahiti is what everyone thinks those island chains are but no one really visits Tahiti. Go to Bora Bora and you will experience "Heaven on Earth". I'm not kidding. It makes every other persons vacation you see on social media seem worse.
