What is unimaginable about it? Soccer fields differ in size from one another regularly. It is not unusual. How is it possible that the right field wall in fenway is 302' but in wrigley it is 352'?
To answer how it's possible: CONCACAF wanted/needed the biggest payday possible and having the Final in Vegas helped make that happen.
Regulation is 70-80 yards wide. This field is 72 yards. It is a bit smaller than many fields but it is regulation
