I have been seeing advertisements all over the place for these things and looked into it today. Interesting concept, looks like fun so I signed up. Plunked 25wickets in got a matching deposit and figure I will play 2 and 5 leagues. Hopefully this will last me the season.

Have any of you tried this stuff? Seems like it could be fun to do? Surprised that college player names are in play given the recent Video games lawsuits courtesy of ahemm....

Would love to hear thoughts on these....now that i miss playing the PS game with my son this could be worth a look.

If you are not a fantasy player, which I am not, those commercials are starting to get real irritating. They are everywhere. With the amount of money pouring in, the advertise more than Geico.

Pleas make it stop.

I like the weekly and daily league concept much better than a whole season of fantasy football. I simply don't have time to keep track who is injured and if they got better during weekly practice sessions. I'd rather look at the Saturday night or Sunday morning reports and set my daily fantasy lineups.

The competition and payouts are better in paid leagues, but I've won a few bucks by placing in free leagues.

I play for fun, but have no illusions that I will win any significant amount of money. The pros use various means to game the system, so it will take lots of luck to win any of the tournaments. Better to stick to 50/50s. I've played baseball, football, and basketball and would say that baseball is the hardest, and basketball is the easiest to win on if you just watch injury reports.

Here's a good article for those thinking about jumping in to make some money:

Intersting info from this with Laviano at $7200 to Hackenberg at $6400. I am playing both Hicks and Flannagan tonight. Funny Rettig at 5900 as a back would make he quite a gamble. Well $1.00 on the line tonight with a chance to win $1.80. Josh Rosen is my QB.

Interesting info, a new angle for sure. No illusions that i can retire off of this.

Don't have allusions that this is like your neighborhood fantasy league. A lot of your competition are professionals and have access to stats that you aren't even thinking about. Most people I've talked to about this have won a game here or there but for the most part have gotten blown out of the water.
