OT: What are you all drinking tonight

Had a few High Noon seltzer on the golf course. Refreshing on the course but gave me a terrible headache after.

Picked up at Trader Joes. Definitely a desert beer, can pick up the coffee and peanut butter. Not that boozy for a 9%er

Icarus Build Me Up Butternut Porter today

Build Me Up Butternut is a 6.7% Chili Porter featuring tons of NJCB Mike's Butternut Squash soup poured right into it the boil creating a smoothed out creamy body with subtle hints of Nutmeg up front that flow into complex earthy notes. Finishing with roasted chocolate notes and a hint of Gojillo and Chipotle peppers on the tongue, it might just be the perfect Halloween porter!

Stuck down in VA right now, so last night I picked up a bottle of the Glenmorangie 14yo Port Wood.

I was surprised to see a display of Lagavulin 16yr at Costco yesterday, so I bought a bottle so I could try it for the first time. I've tasted Laphroaig 10 and Ardbeg 10 and I personally preferred the Laphroaig. I usually have to avoid spirits that are aged for longer periods, due to allergies to the congeners (which is why I've only tried the Laphroaig and Ardbeg 10 yr products), but I haven't had any problems with the Lagavulin 16. Definitely enjoying it very much and very glad that I bought it.. $79.89. Not sure how that compares to other stores.

Lagavulin 16 has been one of my go to bottles for a few years now.

Just got a bottle of Glenmorangie Signet. It looks cool because the espresso sits at the top half the bottle. Taste good but not really getting any of the espresso.

I have never known it to have a espresso taste. I never remember anyone saying that either or hearing that from Glenmorangie. I looked at their website and they do say espresso, not sure if this is new or not. The bottle I have is from 2018 I believe. I get some cocoa/chocolate taste from it but no espresso as far as I remember. Regardless it is delicious and one of my favorite drams. I hope you enjoyed it.

This weekend I had very weak Coquito @The Barrow House in Clifton (I do NOT recommend that place) and Avaline wine(created by Cameron Diaz. Two thumbs up for anyone looking for organic, vegan, clean wine.)

Waiting until until Christmas to open up a 2 year old Westvleteren 12. (pronounced Vest-Flayter-in) Considered by most to be the best beer in the world. I'm in that group. Have others good ones for Christmas but the Westy 12 is the star of the year.

Enjoying some homemade eggnog. I used the Alton Brown aged recipe. Aged it for about 2 months.

Trader Joe's egg nog liqueur is a steal at $8.99. Probably not as good as your homemade stuff.

Have been drinking Balvenie 10. Taste good but I’m getting a headache the next morning.
