I Dont know who ranked us at #25 but this means is we win our next 3, (Miami being the 3rd game) we are definitely going to be a ranked team. Wow

This is amazing. We are tied for 40th. It is probably unrealistic but it is nice to see

It has happened. Scott Wolf, who covers Southern Cal for the Los Angeles Daily News, had the Scarlet Knights ranked 25th in his just-released poll. They are one spot behind Wichita State and just 24 small steps from usurping No. 1 Villanova for the top ranking in his poll.

We have reached out to Wolf to hear his reasoning for the vote but haven't heard back immediately. In fairness, he probably didn't realize that this would qualify as breaking news in New Jersey.

Anyone know the last time we got any votes?
Im guessing but I think when we were 5-1 after our win against ST Mary's in Douby's Junior year. If not then, it was when we beat Charlotte and ST Mary's to go to 2-0 in 2004-2005 before losing to State Penn.

This is bizarre. There are 75 undefeated teams. I'll take it. I'd love to hear why he chose us at #25.
Don't look that gift horse in the mouth.
Someone did a lot of heavy drinking this weekend.

The team looks much better than the last few seasons, but they are not a Top-30 team
You didn't get the memo? We're a basketball school now ever since Flood was hired as the coach. It was only right we do that to hide the failures of the football program. [roll]

I just checked the AP poll to see if we'd gotten any love. Boy, that looks great! We have to win these next two to be 6-0 headed to Miami.

If I was on this team, that would definitely help motivate me going forward. Seeing results can't be a bad thing, no matter how small it seems to some.

Last time we received a vote for the AP top-25 was November 29, 2004 after we began the season with back-to-back wins over Charlotte and Saint Mary's. We were also the defending NIT runners-up, returning Shields and Douby, so have to assume we were already on the radar somewhat before the season began.

Nice to get noticed. Let's keep it rolling on Wednesday. Go RU!

He then added..."because a member of the New Jersey media would never do anything like this in support of its local schools."

How many of the 75 have dominated and controlled their games and won by more than double digits? Yes the competition has been less than stellar but that never stopped us before from playing down or outright losing to these teams. Even a few of them DePaul and Drexel are 2-1 and 2-2 respectively !!
So let's not dampen the good news and just celebrate it for once. Yeah GFG , it is too early to tell what is going to happen but please celebrate while we can.!!!
