If he's good, lets assume it's Rettig...our running game will be unstoppable, comparable to the running games of Wisky and Nebraska last year. If we don't get good QB play and defenses can sell out to stop the run, we'll obviously suffer.
I understand the running game opens up the passing game, and good O line play is vital, but in our case I feel the QB holds the key to making our O line like good.
Being able so see the field and getting the ball out quick and on time is the key, and it's an intangible that makes QB's separate themselves from others.
We all know Rettig has a gun, but can he find 2nd and 3rd options and get the ball out? if he can and there's no reason to think he can't except for the fact it's hard, we will be very good offensively given the quality of our receivers and backs.
