We only played 11 ooc games while everyone else played 15 or more. In order for us to get to 20 wins overall, and increase our chances of an NCAA bid, we need to add 4 or more games. Here are my choices. What say you?

Vassar
NJIT
Stevens Institute
Yeshiva

Well, you can only play 31 games total. We play 20 conference games, and you can only play 10 OOC games, unless you play in an exempt tournament. That would lead to 11 OOC games. This season RU played 10.

Funny you have NJIT on that list because if we had played them this past December when we were struggling, they would have beaten us

Yes, you're right. My ignorance. I counted all games, including post regular season.

A bad April Fools joke ,a few days early.

Schedule FGCU. Lots of Rutgers fans living in Southwest FL if a game or two is played there, and FL is a decent recruiting area. In most years FGCU is pretty good. Michigan State plays them.

NJIT is not bad. A team we should handle though. I'd put them on the schedule again.

They only lost to Liberty by 6, and they beat..........Fordham.
That's why I said they would have beaten us if we played them around the time we played Fordham

Ignoring the D3 weirdness going on, we should absolutely play 31 games like everyone else. I assume some kind of scheduling snafu resulted us in only playing 30 last season. Can't give up a game again this year.

I think stated above you need an exempt tourney to play 31, no?

I wouldn't play them and I especially wouldn't play them down there.

I'd be thinking the best opponent that wouldn't require a return visit...

perhaps...
Yale
Harvard
Penn
Buffalo

its the neutral site games in tournaments that RU desperately needs that all the other schools pile up

Quadrant 1 (Q1): Home (1-30) Neutral (1-50) Away (1-75)
Quadrant 2 (Q2): Home (31-75) Neutral (51-100) Away (76-135)
Quadrant 3 (Q3): Home (76-160) Neutral (101-200) Away (136-240)
Quadrant 4 (Q4): Home (161-353) Neutral (201-353) Away (241-353

RU MUST START APPEARING IN THOSE 8 GAME TOURNAMENTS....if not then they have to beef up their non conference schedule significantly. I can point to NC State at 22-11 of a a school that couldnt rely just on ACC play

RU needs to schedule some MAC schools for their Q3 games, I would suggest RU start scheduling AAC schools pronto...I would start with Temple and go from there..Memphis home and away also a good call...Central Florida home and away. Wichita State home and away. This is the conference you want to play

Also Big East schools....we played 2 this year, dont know if we will be in Gavitt games this year but need to play 2.

It might be worth it to Hobbs.

I know most think i am over reacting.....I think $ will matter to the athletic department either NOW or real soon! Hobbs will be under enormous pressure. If it is a $75,000 decision on whether to play a home and away with team X vs. playing Yale at home I think the extra $50-$100K may take the day.

I know what your response is and I get it and don't disagree.

he signed a contract with CVS that allows her to paid her salary even if she isnt head coach anymore, wait until that one happens...an advisor doing god knows what making $800K

You can add Fairfield to the list of possible new opponents. Doesn’t help SOS but I think you can possibly see this happening.

These games can be played if RU wants to play them...cost is not an issue.
