Boy, is that story dripping with condescension, from the headline to:I jead this and was going to post but ol TT is just too quick.
Good job.
The site he's referring to has had RU as high as #5 earlier in the process and hovering between there and #9 since.Boy, is that story dripping with condescension, from the headline to:
"But at the No. 7 spot, a mediocre Big Ten team jumps out after what was a forgettable 2024 season.
"Rutgers has the No. 30 high school recruiting class in 2025, ninth-best among Big Ten schools."
Figured the writer was from a Big Ten School, but nope, he's a Virginia Tech alum. Wonder if he is licking his wounds after his team got beat by an overlooked, mediocre football team that had a forgettable season?
If RU was in the ACC, which thankfully we are not, we would have the 5th ranked recruiting class just behind Clemson and 4 spots ahead of Va Tech. Would that make Va Tech sub mediocre?
It's interesting that Indiana is low on both of the rankings, transfers and high school recruiting. But we all know ratings matter to a degree, and some coaches get more out of lower rated recruits. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out on the field, where it matters. The site he's referring to has had RU as high as #5 earlier in the process and hovering between there and #9 since.
