Agree—“alley” is the easy part. One thing that can really get a home crowd buzzing is to watch a crisp passing team finding the open man who buries a trey or finishes at the rim.
I’m excited to see a lot more of that this year, and hopefully even see some alleys that actually oop!
An alley with no oop is like a horseless carriage. It might look nice but it gets you nowhere.Agree—“alley” is the easy part.
Lol, people my age for sure. What do you call it Russ?People still call it an alley oop?
Lob.Lol, people my age for sure. What do you call it Russ?
So, “a lob and a dunk.” How catchy. It's a dunk.
Read my OP again. I said “One thing that can get the crowd buzzing,” not the only thing."who buries a trey or finishes at the rim."
If we came down and hit a 3 or finished at the rim with zero passes - crowd goes just as wild.
It's the made basket not the number of passes.
I would rather see a bounce pass from half court, which leads to a layup, any day, over the "alley-opp" But, that's just me.Agree—“alley” is the easy part.
