.4 Seconds left. Throw the ball off the Purdue player?

Wouldn’t this have been a safe way to get that second off the clock? We see it under the baseline from time to time. Is there any rule from intentionally throwing the ball off the player right in front of the inbounds passer?
yeppp that's what i was saying during the game thread lol

But there is only .4 seconds left so it doesn't matter. It would waste a couple tenths minimum. I said the same thing. Edey is an impossible target to miss too
not to mention Edey doesn't have the flexibility to react and catch the ball and shoot it at the same time... just throw it off or under his foot and he'll touch it and game is over.

Or turn the ball over.

Watching the replay of Purdue’s inbound, I think they had enough time for an alley oop or a tip lay up. Lucky they did not have a time out to draw up either play.
True but a turnover is fine as long as it's not a dead ball turnover like we had.
I did. I estimated the 0.4 seconds actually took at least 2 seconds.
The clock didn't start on Rieber's tip of the pass. I think that would have been reviewable.
