Pat Hobbs is 1 for 3

You know what the best part of this board is? When I put this guy on ignore, the whole thread disappears.

Someone let me know if he ever posts anything useful.

I criticize Ash a lot on this board, but even I know he hasn't proved Hobbs made a mistake hiring him.
My opinion is Ash didn't do very well as a HC this season but he had a lot of obstacles
to overcome and the type that there isn't a quick fix for.
Ash might prove to be a good one, or a bad hire, but it will take more than this season to prove if Hobbs made a mistake or not.
He deserves a mulligan for this season, but maybe complaints about the staff he put together might not be out of line.
For the record, as bad as RU's O looked, I'm giving Mehringer a Mulligan because of his inexperience and changing the offense from what his players were recruited for to a system they might not be a good fit for.
As for the DC Niemann ? Not sure if the bad D play can fall squarely on his shoulders
because of how the O left them on the field and special team play was horrible for field position.
I'll judst say his defense left something to be desired and I wouldn't be sad to see him replaced, but wouldn't be upset if he came back.
STC needs to be replaced ASAP .
Position coaches might need an upgrade as well.

Stringer is back because she's a HOF HC deserved to return to keep on the 1000 V hunt and Hobbs knoew that and renewed her contract for this season.
Don't know if Hobbs will renew CVS for next year if the WBB team keeps playing like it is.
I actually doubt if he would give CVS another year if this one winds up being a disaster.

Pikeill is looking good righy now, but if the team starts looking bad, SP will deserve a mulligan himself because he took over a program that looked like a disaster last season.
I believe she signed for 3.

I said I would have preferred, an experienced head coach, How did you get, I want him fired out of that..
I also did not say fire Stringer, but if I were to make a decision it would be at the end of contract.
And thanks for calling be dumb, You should know better, not all of us can have 3 degrees.

I didn't say you wanted Ash fired, so not sure how you thought I did. You certainly said it was a bad hire, though, and I simply argued that it's too early to tell. I also never called you dumb - I called your post dumb, which is a big difference - I've made a few dumb posts in my day, as has everyone else. I try to criticize/discuss content without making it personal (am not always successful at that, though).

Jury is still out on Ash...and even Pickiell , though I like what I see so far. Stringer was a bad move but I'm sure he had to do it.

I believe she signed for 3.
Belive the contract extension Stringer signed with Hermann was for four but only the first two are fully guaranteed.
Think Hobbs can let her go from now to April of 2017 for around 35% if what she would be owed for the remainder of her contract ($700,000 a year)that ends in April of 2018 . After April of 2017 it would be 50% buyout.

Too early to annoint Pikiell and too early to form a final opinion on Ash. CVS just does not know how to bow out gracefully.

Awful post by a huge "Floodie" who just can't move on and has been hating on Ash from the minute he was hired.
How does that make him a "Floodie"? Do you reall know he was a "Floodie"? Was anyone really a "Floodie"? Are you an "Ashie" for blindly defending Ash like this?
[EDIT: I removed a section here that explained things fairly well, but ultimately defeated what the message should be here which is... Ash is the man. Nothing is changing that now. Support him. If he gets the talent things will work out. Help him get the talent. Support him.]

Actually we'll find out if you're right if this RU WBB season stays like it looks now
and Stringer doesn't get much closer to the 1000 V mark.
Great Coaches like great players sometimes hang on because of milestones in reach and what made them great is the never give up competitiveness that helped them considered great.
That competitiveness also drives them to try an achieve milestones like the 1000 win plateau CVS is trying to obtain.
It might not be a case of bowing out gracefully, but a case of knowing the achievement she's going after might not be obtainable anymore as the RU WBB HC, or if it still can be done .
That will be why Stringer will retire or return next season and Hobbs will be involved in that decision.

It's amusing to read negative comments on Pike. While it is too early to judge Ash, it is way too early to judge Pike, but like everything I have seen thus far.

I know he's a "floodie" because I do. Just like I know he's been bashing Ash from the moment the hire was announced. Sorry if I have a good memory!
