Paul Mulcahy UNREAL STATS

Biggest game of his life - five assists and zero turnovers. ZERO.

We are in section 105 and we had the perfect line of sight behind Mulcahy when Myles had his man pinned in the low post IN TRAFFIC IN THE LANE, with Myles’ left hand up as a target. Paul saw it, looked away for a sec and passed it perfectly to Myles’ hand, for an easy catch and a Myles lay up.

A thing of beauty. Even the Russian judge gave that pass a 10!!

Great job OP!

Paul Mulcahy single handedly kept us in the game for about 10 mins in the first half.

He did so many little things that dont always show up on the stat sheet...wow...I LOVE this kid...

Excellent description 83. Nice to get that perspective.

That was gorgeous.

You can see Paul being the floor general. I love it. I feel good about someone getting an easy two when it’s in his hands. And the great thing is he has so much upside and things that can be greatly improved to make him an even better player. Defense , mid range shooting and being an offensive threat — that’s gotta be his offseason focus and I’m sure he’ll improve on those massively

He drove to the lane. The book is he will pass. He made a layup with the active NCAA leader in blocks (is that really true?) next to him

This kid is a stabilizing, calming influence.
He was overwhelmed by the foot and hand-speed of this level at first, but he’s learning the spacing and angles every game.
He still can’t get his shot off, but that will come too.
Great vision, along with protecting the ball, and getting much better on D.
He’s now another big piece of our success

Great thread but i had to laugh when they put him on Stevens for couple possessions early in second half (presumably to help keep Harper away from his 3rd foul)

With his uncanny natural court vision and (so far) unwillingness to shoot, plus his really strong rebounding ability for a point guard, he's basically our version of Ben Simmons. I personally think he's the best basketball player on the team and have since game 1. Not the most athletic or the best shooter, obviously. But the best basketball player. (Go ahead, ridicule me.)

I don't know about "best basketball player on the team" - but he's definitely out there playing chess with opposing defenses. "I fake here, you shift your weight there, I dribble here, you overcorrect, annnddd.... there's the passing lane I was looking for." Just a lot of fun to watch.

You’re inviting people to talk about his weaknesses so I’m not taking the bait.

I love the kid

But I heard on postgame (Jerry Recco or WRSU) that Mulcahy was the only Rutgers player to have negative plus/minus last night so there's the negative if you take that stat as something.
