Peele should be moved to WR

with Carroo, Patton, Agudosi, Tsimis, and Grant we'll be ok at WR. Need to get DB's settled.

Good god, NO! We are deep at WR with some very good talent which could be making the next step. And they're playing with 2 new QB's. We need depth and talent at DB right now with the loss of Daily and the expected loss of Barnwell. This is a no brainer all the way.

He's needed much more at CB. It's a very important position and RU is going into the year ...thin and very young at that position. He will bring maturity and some confidence to that group.

We are just way too crowded at WR. Peele making the switch is doing the best thing for both RU and himself.

Based on his body of work, I'm starting to become convinced that the OP doesn't really know anything about Rutgers football.

I've forgotten more than you'll ever know, but carry on.

Clearly not. The evidence in this thread completely contradicts that claim.

Fact is, the vast majority of your work is not only critical but shows a lack of "big picture" critical thinking, at the same time.

I'm not impressed.

Peele seemed to have played CB pretty well when he was at CB in 2013, maybe being there full time will make him
more of an asset than if he was at WR this season.
Ruhann might develop into a good CB and his moving there might wind up helping the pass defense more than just supplying needed depth .

Peele will make a great corner. Good hands, physical, and fights for the ball. By the end of his career he'll be one of our best defenders

Agree that Peele will be more of a benefit this season at the corner...swagger...physicality...some previous experience...he is a very tough kid and athletically gifted.

Peele is older. He still needs to prove that he is mature.

The truth is Peele would also benefit from playing corner as it is an easier path to the Pros. then WR, from what I have seen him do to date. Yes Marcus Cooper good analogy!
Not until we know Barnwell's status for the season.

Even with Barnwell, Peele will be a better asset on D then catching splinters on his butt at WR.
Outside of maybe Boggs/Barnwell Peele may be the best CB we have available to Rutgers (at the start of the season) Especially with WSU coming at us early. Down the road if Austin matures and grows into a good CB
But as of now (start of season) Peele's skill set is best used on D

I always thought Peele was legit over the middle short-medium range threat which is very crucial with new QBs tha you don't trust yet to be throwing deeper, riskier passes.

That being said....we obviously need him at CB badly instead of WR. Also, it benefits him as well because even if he was good at WR, he wasn't going to be NFL caliber. As a CB he has the body to make it...it remains to be seen if he has the quickness and instincts to be a great CB in the BIG10 and then hopefully the NFL.

Assuming that this is intended for the Harris post, the answer is yes he is. He will be in the NFL before 4 years. Why waste one of those years on the bench.

This board cracks me up. RS or specials only.

Remember leonte carroo? Ever heard of him?

You do realize that Harris can help us win games right? It turns out that Leonte isn't the recipient of every play of the game.

You realize I was referring to Leonte Carroo not playing WR his freshman year and he is one of if not the most pro-ready player to walk in the Hale Center the last 4 years.

But go ahead and pencil a kid into the lineup in a crowded position.

Seels I love you but you got to dial it back a bit. He may play and he may be electric but 3 and out(which is how I view less than 4 years) is a tad much......no?

No offense RUsojo, but you for you to say "This board cracks me up" as if you are some high and mighty, all-knowledgeable poster is funny because your insinuation that since Carroo didn't play as a freshman then its hilarious to think that Harris can't is not even an apples to apples comparison.

Don't forget that depth charts play a big part in if a guy gets the opportunity to make the field. Carroo came in as a freshman against 2 NFL level Seniors in Tim Wright and Mark Harrison, 1 JR in Jeremy Deering and another NFL caliber player in JR Quron Pratt and then NFL talent SO Brandon Coleman and then prize recruit SO Miles Shuler.

Juwaun Harris is going against 1 NFL Talent in Sr Carroo and the rest of the guys are young and haven't yet proved that they are NFL caliber even though Agodosi has the size and speed to possibly make it if he focuses, works hard, and produces on the field these next 2 years.

So basically Carroo came in as a freshman behind 4 guys who made it to the NFL and were older than him while Harris is coming into a team with 1 guys who is going to the NFL and older than him. THIS is a huge factor why you cannot just compare Carroo and Harris's situation as Freshman and insinuate that since Carroo didn't play as a freshman then Harris can't. Our WR depth chart are totally different now compared to then.

So yeah please keep the "ego" and "talk down to other posters" bs out and just make your points. We are all hear to discuss and learn and strengthen as a fan base by increasing our knowledge of the team. Its one thing to disagree with a poster and discuss the point and try to enlighten everyone involved.... it is totally different to just say "HAHA This board cracks me up! " and blah blah blah like peoples posts are so silly and below your intelligence level.

And while specifically I am using you as an example RUsojo, I am not specifically trying to call you out because it goes down a lot on this site and it helps nobody.

You just called me out. I emailed the mods. They'll probably do nothing.

No ego at all. Just surprised that people are penciling this kid to get significant time at WR. Not sure why you insinuated as much but that is your issue not mine. My opinion stands. Both of them. The board cracks me up. And I don't think he will play WR. Thanks.

If your insinuation wasn't that since Carroo didn't play as a freshman than how could Harris play as a freshman...then I take back what I said.

But it sure seemed like that is what you were insinuating. Also, I am not sure that Harris plays as a Freshman, but he definitely has an easier road to playing time than Carroo did!

I hope this is sarcasm or I feel bad for the mods. He gave a strong response of why your reply was not helpful and you go whine to mods? What a joke - worse than your original post.
