He just presented the trophy of the AAC title !!

And then army guys basically said this game meant nothing and “beat navy .”!

Oh wow how Tim has fallen

Actually I think he's recovered quite nicely.
For real. He’s the commissioner of a conference that just had their championship game on national television in prime time. Is it so called power four ?

No, but it’s Army winning a conference championship at home in front of that crowd and in that stadium. That’s not bad at all. If you had family go there and went to a game or just attended a game there, you know

Pretty amazing. Yes !

He’d have to fight his way past Julie Herman to get to the front of the line
How sad we actually have competition for that dubious title and let’s not forget throwing Mr. Hobbs into the mix for his embarrassing exit and somewhat questionable head coaching hires over the years that didn’t quite pan out.

Some of us choose to focus on positives. Tim finished the job Bob Mulcahy started and got us into the B1G.
Hobbs was a fantastic fund raiser and had connections with the state that got facilities funded and built in a short period of time. He also hired Pikiell and a number of other solid coaches.

that is 100% not true. Tim had zero to do with it

I have outlined the entire affair multiple times over the years. Tim was sitting in the chair, it could have been Waldo

I do give him credit for finalizing the deal.
But I do think it could have been Waldo too

lol didn’t you choose to go to Rutgers and play under grunniger’s leadership ?
My attending Rutgers had nothing to do with Fred Grunniger, but the trap was sprung by him once I step on campus... damn.🤣 Student-athletes in my time didn't have the same freedom to move around as today's players. BTW, one reason I came home because my parents were sick (lung cancer) at the time.

I would agree with you Fred was not good

I would guess “Who is the AD?” is pretty far down on the list of priorities for a recruit of any sport.

We don’t even have an AD right now and look at the recruiting class. Doesn’t seem to be having much impact.

Of course a lot of the blame for our prolonged mediocrity (and less) in sports lies at the feet of the folks doing the hiring, not the hires.

You’re way off. To say Tim had 0% to do with it just shows your dislike towards him.

I feel bad for him. He wants nothing to do with the school whatsoever, not that I blame him. Secretly he will try to help RU football guys if he can, but the school is dead to him.

you're out of you depth here and know nothing of this. you either forget my posting way back, didn't read it, or are one of the blind 'ites'
Tim had absolutely nothing to do with us and BIG. All he did was functionally, take the call, arrange some prep that anyone would have done and the like as the man in the chair. So many things were going on prior to Tim being here. The real culprit for the wait was Alvarez and his fascination with Nebraska for the CG. Paterno and PSU AD held a meeting in Chicago with Delaney when Nebbie was about to be selected telling them why it was RU who should be selected as eyeballs for Nebbie and money for CG would never match the in market revenue, alumni reach, travel partner and more for the East Coast NYC mkt bridge

I could go on and on on so many things YET AGAIN but no so I'll just tap out and laugh at anyone thinking Tim had any material contribution to RU and the BIG

why would you feel badly for him as he was a lousy AD and hurt the school? He was overpaid for his results if anything, he's lucky. Hell, his vaunted TV relationship 'resume' did Jack and squat for RU benefit

feel sorry? lol

ok I'm out, I'll never understand the grasp on reality and objectivity some of our 'fans' have

Disagree totally. Pernetti closed the deal, after Mulcahy was railroaded.
Easy to say anyone could do it , after the fact.
We all saw what a wonderful job Julie Herman did after he left.
You forget these were not the best of
times here.
First being left behind in the OBE then transitioning to to AAC then to the Big Ten.
Playing champaigne teams on a beer budget. No easy task.
Pernetti was alright, Barchi sucked hind tit!

He was not a good judge of coaching talent. AD job was not the best fit for him. The commish job is perfect for him and I can see him moving up from that

You said he had absolutely nothing to do with it..then the next sentence go on and lists things he did to help,

Won’t debate this…but it’s just incorrect to say he did nothing

While I don't blame him for being bitter since he was thrown under the bus, are any of the people responsible even at RU anymore?

Biruta . Murdock , barchi and rice are all long gone. Maybe there are some people on boards or behind the scenes ?
