Well duh, he was three inches bigger than Dylan, probably 30 pounds heavier than Ace while being the same height, playing completely different positions, filling different roles. Dylan and Ace have really bright futures in front of them, not sure I see future MVP in them, but hope they have it in them.

Anywho, my point was that Michigan class was better than our class, much deeper.

Ace is starting to show why he is so highly ranked, he is improving rapidly throughout the season and currently playing really well. But he is STILL not at superstar level even as a college basketball player, much less a Kobe-like player.

Dylan IS a college superstar but would not be an NBA superstar right now.

No shit Webber wasn’t splitting double teams and knocking down threes. He was a 6’10” 250 pound power forward playing in the 90s-early 2000s.

Huh? First, no Derkack isn't better than Jimmy King, but Derkack also isn't part of the recruiting class that the Fab 5 are better than. King as a freshman was better than Derkack as a junior though.

That said the fab 5 under Fisher made it to the championship game, our fab 4 may not make the tournament under Pike.

We have a Terrific Two, and then a couple decent prospects, nothing like the Fab 5, but the rest is fair. I think the team not making the tournament isn't necessarily what's on Pike, the roster is what would be the Pike fail. This was always a bubble team as put together.

What is "the rest" that is fair? The entire post is predicated on fiction. Failing to make the tournament is failing by definition but that diagnosis of the problems couldn't be more wrong.

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one. Webber played center and was essentially a "point" center at Michigan. I love Ace but if you are being honest he also makes a shit ton of mistakes that you seem to be overlooking (since you are bringing up the TO). Harper is a Gem for RU, but the point is that these 2 guys are not equal to a freshman class of 5 top 50 guys including 3 in the top 10. You need 5 guys in sync to win. Grant has progressed and if the others play their roles and minimize mistakes, the team will be good enough to make noise. I stated "in" in the in/out tourney thread and I'm sticking with it, but this team is not the Fab 5 level.
