PJ Fleck - He's Rolling Again! Is He Our Next Man?

Honest question here for people with more information than I have. Looks like Fleck only spent 1 year at Rutgers. Why do people assume he would love to work here? Seems like he's more of an Illinois guy. Although it does seem like he enjoys Schiano. Quit a OC position 1 day after accepting to be a WR coach for him at Tampa.

Me too. I like Campbell and he has mid-west recruiting as a base.

He will take whatever job he can get. p5 offers don't come around often and today's hot name can be tomorrow's after thought.

Fleck isn't going to get us Top 4 B10 recruiting classes but who the heck would be able to do that? We need a coach who can pull off classes similar to the ones we got in 2009, 2011, and 2012. With classes like that we can at least entertain the idea of becoming an above average B10 team, with the potential for blowing the doors off in recruiting. Judging by the way recruits reacted to Fleck when he was at Pitt and here, I'd imagine he is capable of pulling off a few top 35 classes at RU.

Skoolie- pretty much agree with you about Fleck. Read VK a little closer, he is not looking for much different then you. He is questioning Fleck, not backing Flood.
I have always liked and respected Flood. The things that happen via Barnwell shakes that up a lot(though, more because of it being Flood, who even his biggest detractors even found it unbelievable)
The last game where it seemed he, his staff and the players didn't even want to be there, was the point of no return...unless our admin F's up the next move even more.

I have the same concern of Fleck that VK does, is he a good recruiter for where he is? Can he bring the same game to recruiting when it is Harbaugh, Meyer, Frankin he is competing with?

Now to another poster...how does 2 of 3 good years of HC'ing at his level better then 2 of 3 1/2 years of BCS/P5 level excite you much?

Fleck denies it, the wife of that booster denies it and is suing over the spread of false rumors....but since it doesn't fit your story....I guess you'll discard that.

Not discarding them. Just not giving them any legs....since they are ALL rumors. Nothing more than that.

NJ.com is going to do that to anyone we hire. If we hire a coach simply because we think we will be safe with NJ.com, then we are more screwed than even I thought.

Big difference between them digging up dirt and us hiring a guy everyone already has it on. I mean the dude even has a nickname on the recruiting trail.

I heard about the booster’s wife rumor , but they are saying there’s more dirt out there on him.

Buggsy acts like it’s BS and vkj like it’s a fact and I don’t know what their arguing about , does anyone.
Getting tired of seeing them go back and forth and not saying anything but you're wrong/ I'm right !

I mean, it's a message board. I'm sure Arkansas and Louisville fans never had any pictures of Petrino or Pitino in the act, but they still talked. Stuff gets around.
 
I am warming to Fleck..I like that he is an energetic young guy that would seem to work non stop 24/7 rather than who we have here
