Who exactly?
This team has some talent but at critical places we are subpar. QB and WR (without Grant) we are seriously lacking.
Who exactly?
Towards the end of the game Coach Ash was being heckled by fans in the expensive seats. A young kid (15ish) ripped into Ash as he was leaving the stadium. Things are starting to spiral out of control.
Schiano was not a people person. Could care less about the O. Was not a great head coach but was and is a superb D coordinator. In spite of this he got it done and probably could have continued moving this train forward if he had stayed. .When he left 11 years went down the rat hole. IMHO

All teams have some talent. Our 2001 and 2002 teams even had Gary Brackett and Nate Jones.
Out of the first seven games, which game did you walk away saying the team hustled, never quit and were well coached in the same sentence. Its lack of talent and but that also doesnt mean its not poorly coached
. My dad would have grabbed me by the back of the neck and dressed me down right in the stands, but that was a different generation. My son would have never scream at an adult let alone a HC to a college team. This kids dad stood right there and allowed him to yell at the coach. It lasted all of 5 maybe 10 seconds.Maybe you should not have yelled at him, son.

McMahon, We agree to disagree. I think Schiano walked into an equally tragic situation but was dealing with a different league and a little different schedule. We are now in the B1G .
I looked up Coach Ash's resume. As a business person, I would have many questions about his short stays at quite a few schools. Spin that fact any way you like, but to me the multiple, short terms speaks to either a person who is tough to work with, or someone who isn't very good at their job.
Many of you are very high on his 1 year at Ohio State. You can barely install any kind of system in one year.
I'd love to hear why he is so impressive on paper to some of you.

We lost at home to Iowa and to Illinois. Neither team is that much more talented than us. Maybe Iowa. Maybeeeee. At what date do u guys at least allow ppl to at least discuss the staff?
Fine, all the players and staff totally suck. Now what? What will the endless bitching actually solve. NOTHING.
Offer suggested realistic solutions instead.
Asking questions about coaching isn't bitching.
So many people are blaming a lack of talent, and I get that to a point. However losing 56-0, 78-0, and a 24-7 loss to a bad team is plenty of reason to question coaching. How often does a team lose 78-0?
When I looked at his resume I wasn't impressed. Is there reason we should be impressed by Coach Ash?

Welcome to NJ, Coach Ash - you're not in Iowa anymore....Towards the end of the game Coach Ash was being heckled by fans in the expensive seats. A young kid (15ish) ripped into Ash as he was leaving the stadium. Things are starting to spiral out of control.
The money thing is and always has been BS. We have top brass who don't want to spend it.We were desperate when he was hired and didn't have $$$$ for a bigger coach, i wasn't impressed what went down at ohio st hell wasn't that when they copied Narduzzi defense?
Stop sucking.Fine, all the players and staff totally suck. Now what? What will the endless bitching actually solve. NOTHING.

Yet his resume is equal to or better than Greg Schiano's when he got here. At least he had 8 more years experience than GS and called the D for a NC team.
And that illustrates perfectly the difference between the Ash start and the Schiano start. With schiano you could see progress being made week by week and there were many games where RU was undermanned but still played disciplined hard nose football for 60 minutes.Out of the first seven games, which game did you walk away saying the team hustled, never quit and were well coached in the same sentence.
They won't play for him. If I had to guess a lot of guys are upset because they don't fit the system - square pegs in round holes - especially on offense. Eventually the question will become, can Ash survive long enough to get round pegs.

At least we know who is delusional around here...You're wrong, there's talent on this team it just needs to be developed. That is on Ash.
In August your're a loser/bad fan if you aren't playing up position groups and coaches. This is what happens when unrealistic expectations meet reality.

completely disagree.missed tackles. Multiple formation penalties. Turnovers. Poor play calling. No imagination.
We do nothing well.
I have to lay this at Ash's feet.
