Possible DB graduate transfer from Michigan State?

He could have some distant ties to Ross Douglass FWIW. Sure they crossed paths numerous times.

Not every grad transfer in college football is a candidate here. RSSr who is buried on deep on MSU's depth chart despite their issues last year at DB? Forget the name of the school for a moment. What makes someone think he's better than what RU has because that's why you grab a guy for 1 year.

BTW, Ross Douglas has 2 years of elig left.

He may not be. Admittedly, I don't know much about RU but IIRC you struggled at DB last year. I'm pretty sure that Douglass played three different positions at UM before settling in as a 3rd or 4th string RB. I hope he works out for you.

Many teams struggle when you start 3 freshmen at DB. Rutgers as we know lost 2 and potentially 3 starters in last year's mess. Add no pass rush because of injuries along the DL and questionable coaching. It was a real horror show but adding someone just because makes no sense to me.

I'm biased because I didn't see how PSU could take Kevin Reihner (OL - Stanford) as a GT and not have him make an impact based on our OL. Boy was I wrong. I don't think he ever saw the field.

RU has done well with grad transfers. RJ Dill at OT, Turzilli at WR (2 TD's in Michigan win), Lou Toler at DB before he broke his leg, and a good punter. Not opposed to guys who can help but not just any guy out there.
