Can someone please explain to me what Pike’s plan was at the power forward position until Mag comes back?
I’m sick and tired of hearing about positionless basketball.
No one knows what the plan is with Mag. He might come back next game, he might not come back at all. But this roster is so egregiously put together. What the heck was Pike’s plan at the PF position. He’s had months to figure out how to replace Mag and he hasn’t even come close.
Why was this not priority number one in the portal last offseason

Dean Reiber is a non factor at Charlotte. Averages about 1.5 ppg.Has really not progressed over his career.

The question marks of Mags and Ogobole still exist. Will both or neither be able to contribute this year? Mags has a slight tweak but this could be more than a tweak or just a precaution. There is not enough information to know. Getting both of these guys back gives you a bigger and better team.

Well Ndongo was supposed to be part of the answer — and would likely play a starting role. As were bigger rebounding guards to cover for our lack of a 4, but we know what happened with Cam and Paul. Not saying a portal stopgap wasn’t available, but tough when these 3 player decisions go against you that late in the process (Ndongo around signing day, Cam / Paul in May / June)
