Princeton Had 19 Offensive Rebounds

There are a lot of good coaches that don’t win. This profession is way harder than some of you are suggesting. Finding an another coach to produce like Pike would very difficult. Just look at RU’s history and many of the other teams in the big ten.
It wouldnt be difficult. Lets remind you what pike has

- top 20 salary
- top 5 homecourt in all of college bball
- top 10 practice facility
- rev share in a big 2 conference

If you think we couldnt find someone to get us on the bubble (the best pike has done is a 10 seed) with all that at their disposal then I think youre insane

One thing team seems to be missing is a leader or at least, an assassin, that has attitude. No Caleb, no Mulcahey type - even Geo & Ron had no problem pushing - getting in the face or head of other team. No motivating force. In fact, this team looks to avoid contact & conflict - except the Colonia kid who seems tough. 80 points were scored by Princeton mind boggling - and i bet, they are not even sore or bruised.

I understand bell and I don't disagree. It's not our job but that doesn't mean to stop trying, accept things, and not try harder to find the answer. Rutgers history of failed hires is one for the record books (and I am not saying Pike was a failed hire . Not at all).

need to get in the face of our own team first.

I agree dercack seems to be the only player who gives a shit

Sure he forces it several times a game (which IS frustrating) but I think he does it because he recognizes that (besides the big 2) there is no one else pushing the matter.

I also think criticisms of his d are largely uncalled for. Due to our lack of d at the 4 and 5 he seems to get isolated against the other teams bigs (like the last Princeton play). It has happened a lot this year.

Say what you want but he’s a Pike player. He can also create his own shot (yes, I know he forces it sometimes) but his drives/fouls/ free throws were important in the first half . He’s contributing a hell of a lot more than any other tranfwr

But again most importantly- he seems to care!
