Problem with FIOS

FIOS never held me captive for 6 years, insisting that my block belonged to another town as did Comcast, forcing me to pay their outrageous rates for the better part of a decade. Finally, they gave up the ghost in court in early 2015 so I could join my backyard neighbor in the FIOS family.

The issue I was having was signing in to use my tablet or laptop to watch tv when I was home. It keep saying incorrect username or password. After a few tries it made me reset my password. Then the next time I tried to sign in again I had the same problem.

Since we are on the topic, if anyone has DirecTV, and you are noticing your rates going up, give them a call and say you want to cancel your service because the rates keep creeping up. I called them today and within 3 minutes they offered me a $25/month discount for 1 year and told me to call back in another year to renew it. Its called a customer loyalty discount or some such thing.

We just Fios in our town after waiting for 10 years.
Out with Cablevision and hello to Fios.

I dropped Cablevision at the beginning of the summer went with Fios. Little did I know Cablevision was sold to a Dutch company a few weeks later. Now I see the offers are better than anything Cablevision offered in the past. In fact it's better than the deal I got with Fios.

Switched from Comcast to FIOS probably 8 or so years ago when it became available and have been content since. Really never any issue with it except 1 time. The cable box pricing is really the only thing I'd like to change but hoping in the future when apple tv and the others start progressing it won't even be necessary.

With regards to DirectTV, I know there was a thread on this a little while ago but their DirectTV NOW streaming service is going to be increasing prices very soon. I think they had a 100 channel package for 35 bucks/month and I think it'll be going to 60. So if that was something anyone was contemplating, should make a decision soon. They may have already increased rates, not sure, but it is happening some time soon.

Absolutely love FIOS. Just got off the phone with them. I have to move, but only for 2-3 months, and they are disconnecting without any charges, including the re-connection fee anytime within 4 months, crediting me $110 for the last 21 days of January, and all I have to do is drop off my box and router. Great stuff!

Verizon's password security is a mess - as is their website. I mean they must have hired people specifically to make it so bad.
