When he was hired at Rutgers, the hope on this message board was that we had a coach who would transform the program into one that could compete for and successfully win national championships. This was something we weren't close to doing under Coach Sacchi. Back then, we were behind Rider as the premiere wrestling program in the state of New Jersey.

Since then, we've managed to establish ourselves as the premiere wrestling program in the state of New Jersey, developed a constant stream of All-Americans, and now, we have National Champions.

He's accomplished what I was hoping he could do at Rutgers. The next step is making this level of competition consistent. However, this is all gravy. I think regardless of what happens next, Scott Goodale can hold his head high with what he's accomplished here at Rutgers.

Pike is the closest to earning what he deserves but still is likely overpaid. Stringer and Ash salaries are a joke.

Love Goodale but let’s pump the breaks. Nobody deserves 10 extra years . He’s a good program coach, not elite. Please let’s not let our current emotion get the best of us. There are people who can take the program even higher, we can’t lose sight of where our ceiling is ... it’s very high
