Can't believe how the talking heads praised the "D" repeatedly on both sides... and the video
showed numerous (almost all) of the defenders where hitting the shooters hands, forearms, wrists.

Is this what B-ball has become?: If so we should hack the living hell out our oppenents… the fouls are only called in conjunction with TV timeouts or commercials anyway.

Horrrriiibbbbbbllllle!!!

There is an awful lot of contact praised as good D.

Having said that after the start really an entertaining game.

I thought it was one if the best reffed games of the tourney. They let them play. Half of the players would have fouled out before overtime if they called every single touch foul.

Yes there’s contact but it’s clear both these teams were a level above the rest of the field as far as positioning, switching, help defense and the ability to just stay with your man.

But they should not have swallowed the whistle on the breakout play with Morretti and they compounded it by reversing the ball out call. If I was reviewing that play with the ball coming off Morretti’s hand and saw that the second before the ball is knocked out the UVA player fouled him on the forearm, the best call is leave the call as is and give Tech the ball. Nobody would have questioned a non-reversal in that spot (eg inconclusive - call stands)

There probably is fouling on every possession mostly from hand checking.Referees have to decide how the game will be called which will please or displease fans depending on who you are rooting for in the game.

Half Court basketball is like that-----cannot remember a fast break layup in the game.

Very few baskets that weren't contested

It's funny, too, during half time they were showing all the wide open shots UVA was passing up because their offense doesn't like to shoot early in the clock. The defense wasn't great last night even in terms of positioning/switching/etc, let alone the amount of contact that was let go.
