Ranking the Toughest Recruiting Challenges/ESPN

Nobody had a tougher recruiting situation than Leach at Wash St , look at what he did in 3 seasons. The right guy can get the right kids for his system almost anywhere. Then get the right staff and results follow. I'm optimistic we are seeing this starting to happen at RU now. Patience is needed. I'm not always patient, but I try to be LOL.

First of all it's ESPN, so it should be taken with a mountain of salt. Second, who in their right mind would not want to go to school next door to NYC! Tough sell my as&! Winning championships, or the lack of is the tough sell!

I agree with this list but I don't understand all the love for U Wash at #29. I would rate them lower.

Hard to argue with any of this based on real facts from the last 5-6 years. Our recruiting was always pretty spotty even when you factor in our best times with GS.

Interesting take on the recruiting challenge for Power 5 schools. RU is ranked 43rd "toughest" sell. Just above RU on the list are KState, Iowa, UVA and L'ville; just below are Utah, GTech, Pitt and Arizona.
Once we start winning consistently, we will climb that unofficial ranking by ESPN very quickly. I see us in the twenties when we win consistently and Ash shows NJ, PA, Maryland and Florida recruits that Rutgers is serious about winning.
